Installation Guidelines

The installation of the official tools is an easy step-by-step procedure. Follow these guidelines and everything will work just fine (also read the Notices).


Unzip avptools.zip to a temporary directory (like c:\windows\desktop\). They will automatically be placed in a subfolder called fox editing tools.


Run avptoolssetup.exe and install the tools to c:\program files\fox\aliens versus predator.

NOTE: You MUST have AvP Gold installed to c:\program files\fox\aliens versus predator for the tools to work. If you do not have AvP Gold installed in that folder, please reinstall it to c:\program files\ fox\aliens versus predator.

The tools will be installed into c:\program files\fox\aliens versus predator\tools.


Unzip tools2.zip to c:\program files\fox\aliens versus predator. This will place HuffComp.exe in c:\program files\fox\aliens versus predator\tools and GeomTools in c:\program files\fox\aliens versus predator\ gtool.


Unzip shape_rifs.zip to c:\program files\fox\aliens versus predator. These will create a subfolder called shape_rifs where all the RIFs are placed.


Unzip Bible.zip to c:\program files\fox\aliens versus predator. This will place the tool documentation in a subfolder called BIBLE.


Last, unzip avp_gold_source_116_1.zip to any folder you want. This is the source code.
