The Aliens versus Predator Launcher lets you start the popular FPS action game Aliens versus Predator from a comfortable user interface. Most of the parameters are only accessible if you start the game in DEBUG mode. This special mode is required if you want to use cheat codes or create bots. However, when using the DEBUG mode you cannot save a game, you cannot play multi-player games and you cannot finish a level and advance to the next.

You can also start the game into any of the built-in single-player or multi-player levels. This allows you to play any level with any species. If you select a level from within the Launcher and then start the game, it will not take you into the level directly. Instead it will still show up the games menu so you first have to chose Single Player and the species you want to play. Then something confusing happens: the game asks you to select the episode you want to play but it will ignore your choice here and load up the level you have selected in the launcher instead (there's no work-around for it - so simply choose the first episode from within the game).
