KraftZ Demo

KraftZ is a cave-flyer game. Players must navigate cave-like arenas using space craft, without colliding with walls/floors/ceilings, and each-other!

A long time ago, in an asteroid field far, far away...

After the Earth Federation was crushed in the great inter-planitary wars of 2300, many asteroid mining colonys, which had been setup to produce much needed materials for the Earth Federations war machine, had become obselete. The populations of the asteroid fields were leaft to fend for themselves, struggeling to survive on the barron rocks floating in space, cut-off from their distant home world. Soon, the miners learned they could best survive the harsh conditions of space by tunneling deep into the core of the larger asteroids, creating caverns which spanned miles, lined with sprawling citys. Living in caverns inside asteroids is not as exciting as it may sound, the people still need entertainment! What better way to keep the population ammused than to fly souped-up refueling rockets around the low-gravity caverns? Add to that low-energy pulse rifles and the occasional home-made missile and you have KraftZ, a tournament held annualy by the asteroid people. It is a deadly game of cat and mouse where there can be only one victor!

KraftZ is a cave-flyer game. Players must navigate cave-like arenas using space craft, without colliding with walls/floors/ceilings, and each-other!

The object of the game is to 'frag' or kill your opponents until they run out of lives. The last ship standing at the end of the game wins. Each player is assigned a landing pad where they can start from and also replenish fuel, ammunition and armour. Players may land on any pad to refuel, including enemy pads, but beware - if a player re-starts on the pad and you are in the way, you will be destroyed to make way for the new ship.

When a player runs out of fuel, gravity will kick in and do the rest of the work, pulling you downwards at high speed towards the cave floor. The same may occur upon losing all of your armour, although most of the time you will just explode due to the huge ammounts of damage that have been inflicted on your ship. Gravity will also act on your ship when you are flying around the cave, but at a much lower rate. However, you will still need to compensate for this when flying to avoid hitting the cave walls and loosing your all-important armour!
