WebGate is a paging gateway that takes input from any of the front-end modules (in this case e-mail and the web) and sends the messages to paging service providers via modem or direct connection. With the exception of the user licenses, there is no limit to the number of pagers or service providers supported. Licenses are required for the number of pagers setup in the paging engine software. The engine can run on an existing file or web server, or can be run on a separate workstation or server.
