Defence Alliance v1.7 Full (Zip)

Defence Alliance Community Edition v1.7 was created by the community and incorporated into the DA family. The big new addition is people can play as the attackers!

The community edition of DA has one big addition to DA... HvH mode. allowing people to play as the attackers!

DA:CE was created by the community after we released the DA:UT source code. So we have not official participate in creating v1.7 but do support the release. Even more so we have incorporated it into the DA family and given it a version number. DA v1.7.

The Six Classes:

Mechanic Max: 2

The mechanic class will often be the key for the victory. They have the ability to place mines which can cause serius damage. They also build machine guns which are going to be used by the machine gunner class.

Medic Max: 2

Medics in DA are not the classic ones. Not only they can heal but they can boost fellow teammates. They can increase their speed and accuracy for a small period of time. Very useful when marines are on hard times!

Gun Syrigne :

2) Healing liquid

3) Steroid liquid

4) Stimpack liquid

Sniper Max: 2

Snipers will be able to spot enemy (bot) snipers. They will have the ability "One shot one kill" but only on head shots. However, the enemy sniper will have the same ability. He will be able to zoom and snipe only if he is crouched though.

Marine Unlimited

Marines will be the primary class. They will keep the enemy away from reaching the fort and take it over. There are 3 sub-classes listed below.

Machine Gunner

- 3 Frag Grenades

- Uses Mechanics Machine guns

Grenadier

- Knife

- Handgun

- Grenade Launcher

(Frag Grenades are thrown by Grenade launcher)

Here are the features:

Bug Fixes:

Changed HUD Font.

Increased Frag grenade explosion radious.

Grenades and the grenade launcher bullet now spawn chunks after wall impact.

Added MGun 1 and MGun 2 traces.

Changed Grenades physics. They do not bounce that much anymore.

Changed spawn sound.

Changed MGUN 2 Fire sound.

Fixed a problem with message showing twice.

Optimized Syrigne Code.

Sniper accuracy changed. You will notice the difference by all positions of your player. (Crouching, Jumping, Walking)

Added new ammobox model.

Added new SMG for mgunner.

Fixed problem with radio sounds when MGun was ready by mech.

Everytime you go to use MGUN 'laugh2' sound is being played.

Fixed MINES collision radious.

Sniper rifle now does normal damage.

Probably fixed client problems with Choose Class.

Custom ricochet sounds added.

Fixed Sniper Rifle fire radious.

Fixed a problem with points been given all the time.

Mechanic now gets +2 points if he places mines.

Syrigne code should now work pretty fine.

Stuck bug seems not to appear any more.

Updated DA background.

Added DA Custom Bot support ('DCB'), special thanks to Namu. In order to select another Bot Model to go to 'Bots' TAB and choose a type.

Introducing new point system. Increases teamplay factor.

Bot Types:

DA DefaultBot (Health 100, Normal Speed)

DA Merceneary Bot (Health 175, Slow speed)

DA Trooper Bot (Health 225, Slower speed)

DA Brute Bot (Health 400, Very slow speed)

Random / Mixed Fight (All bots together)

Point System:

Kill a Marine = 1 point

Kill a Mercenary = 2 points

Kill a Trooper = 2 points

Kill a Brute = 3 points

Build Ammobox = 2 points (Mech only)

Build MGun = 2 points (Mech only)

Plant mines = 2 points (Mech only)

Heal a player = 3 points (Medic only)

Increase accuracy = 2 points (Medic only)

Increase speed = 2 points (Medic only)
