Map Type : Tournament. Deathmatch 2-6 players.

Map description : Revelation was made with 1 on 1 play in mind,

but it still plays fairly well in small dm games.

A primary goal was that the map have good inter-

connectivity, and compact to the point where you

can usually predict an average player's location

and next move. A good helping of armor shards aids

in locating your opponent, via sound cues. The

level's atmosphere is somewhat ominous (that was

the intention, at least). Any comments or

constructive criticism is more than welcome.

Construction

Base : New level from scratch

Editor used : Q3Radiant

Known Bugs : None that are known.

Build Time : Roughly a week and a half, on and off a lot.

Compile machine : Athlon 600, 128M, geforce ddr (mmm).

Compile Times : BSP - 8 seconds

Full Vis - 17 seconds

Extra Light - 1079 seconds

Usage

1. Unzip q3rev.pk3 into your quake3/baseq3 directory

2. Fire up Q3A, drop to console, and type:

/map q3rev

If you get booted after the map seems to have loaded, be sure the sv_pure

config var is set to 0.
