This is Beta 2 release 8 for the Macintosh of this great class based team modification for Unreal Tournament following the "Fortress" aspect in gaming. See additional information for some details on the game.

Gametypes:

Modified Capture the Flag:

This gametype is the original capture the flag gametype as featured in historical Team Fortress games. Grab the enemies flag and return it to your capture point to score 10 points for your team. Some maps have their capture point as your own flag base, some have their capture points elsewhere in the map. This is the main variation and most common mistake made by new fortress players.

Command Point:

In this gametype your team has up to four flags which must be placed on capture points around the map. If your enemy places their flag on a capture point held by you then your flag returns to base. If you manage to capture all points in the map then your team is rewarded. Team with the most points wins.

One Flag:

The name says it all really, anything up to 4 teams, but just one flag to fight over. These matches tend to be particularly bloody and appeal to the deathmatcher in all of us. You are going to need your teams help to cap on this gametype.

Objective Assault:

Based on the famous UT gametype assault, this mode requires your team to successively advance through the map by completing predetermined tasks. At each stage you will find your enemies trying their hardest to prevent you from moving forward. This gametype is played in two stages with the teams swapping over after completion of all tasks or expiration of the timelimit. The team that completes the tasks in the quickest time wins.

Escort:

This gametype is known as "Hunted" in other Team Fortress style games. It's an old favourite and we had to put it in. As a bodyguard protect the v.i.p. from the team of assassin's out to kill him. The v.i.p. is weak and your protection is vital for his escape. If he escapes, your team scores.
