Summer Overture - Vegeta Tribute

This AMV attempts to tell more of a story, rather than show a character (or characters) in random acts that sometimes conveniently fit the song they've been placed in. Basically, it portrays the the humiliation, the rise, the fall, the strength, and ever-lasting endurance, of Vegeta, as well as his hatred towards Goku.

Memories of a Prince - Summer Overture (DBZ Vegeta Tribute)

September 13, 2003

(Remember, DivX 5.05!)

Originally made between February and March 2003, I

finally decided to submit it for public access. At

the time, it was just something I was beyond

motivated to make, I was driven. Not in school, and

recently quit from my job, I had lots of time on my hands.

One day, I figured I'd watch this Anime Music Video

that a friend recommended, saying it was a little more

'loved' by it's creator. Shortly before I downloaded this

vid, I saw a Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers trailer,

and although I didn't pay much attention to the music,

the tune kind of stuck in my head just enough so that

I would recognize it again if I heard it. By then the

recommended AMV was finished downloading, and I

started it up. To many, I'm sure the vid was as plain

as any other, but I saw more into it, lots of the video

'clicked' when I watched, to me, the video 'flowed'

perfectly. Then the same commercial for the Two Towers

trailer came on again, and that song playing in the

backround really perked my interest. This really got

me curious as to which song it was, as the feeling of

it was much more Epic, to suit that of LotR. I hunted

it down, listened to the whole thing, and came to

realize that to me, it was an orchestral masterpeice,

perfect for the mood(s) that I'd love to portray Vegeta

in, in an AMV. So it began, I started work on my AMV!

You would recognize the song itself from the Lord of

the Rings: The Two Towers, though last I checked it

wasn't on the Soundtrack.

Anyway, I've seen a few vids that put out a bunch of

random clips and toss in a song, as well as vids that

are well co-ordinated with both audio and video,

calling it an AMV. What I wanted to do something more,

something along the lines of vids such as 'Dark Kamui

- In The End (Vegeta Tribute)' (my original and still

my main inspiration) and 'Ramstein - Engel

(Evengelion)', I'm sure some of you know which I'm

talking about, vids that seem to have a little more

attention and detail put into them.

The vid I made here attempts to tell more of a story,

rather than show a character (or characters) in random

acts that sometimes conveniently fit the song they've

been placed in. Basically, it portrays the the

humiliation, the rise and the fall, the strength, and

ever-lasting endurance, of Vegeta.

I probably don't need to babble on so much in a readme,

but it all just kept coming to me as I typed it all

out. Anyway, here you go, watch and enjoy my AMV if you

havn't already!
