Supported Operating Systems
---------------------------
To be able to play the Secret Weapons Over Normandy Demo, you
must have Windows 98SE, Millennium Edition (ME), 2000, or XP
installed and configured correctly, and your computer hardware
must be DirectX 9.0b compatible.
According to Microsoft, Windows 95 has entered its non-supported
phase as of December 2001. Because of this, Secret Weapons Over
Normandy doesn't support this operating system. Windows 98 also
entered its non-supported phase as of June 2003. Because of
this, several hardware manufacturers are no longer developing
drivers for this operating system.
Minimum System Requirements
---------------------------
Computer: 100% DirectX 9.0b compatible computer required.
CPU: Intel PIII 850 MHz or AMD Athlon 900 MHz required.
Intel P4 2.0 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 2200+ recommended.
Memory: 256 MB RAM required, 512 MB RAM recommended.
Graphics Card: 32 MB PCI or AGP Direct3D compatible
graphics accelerator card required, 64 MB AGP Graphics
card recommended.
Sound Card: 100% DirectX 9.0 compatible Audio Device required.
CD-ROM: Quad Speed IDE or SCSI CD-ROM drive required for the
full version of Secret Weapons Over Normandy.
Input Device: Keyboard and mouse required. Gamepad or joystick
recommended. Optional support included for Force Feedback
DirectInput compatible joysticks.
DirectX: Microsoft DirectX 9.0b must be installed to play the
Secret Weapons Over Normandy Demo. A link to the Microsoft
DirectX page is available at the LucasArts website by going
to http://support.lucasarts.com/patches/dx.htm.
NOTE: DirectX may require the "latest" updates for your
operating system. This may also include the latest drivers
for your particular motherboard, sound and video hardware.
Installation: Installation requires 2.2 GB of free hard drive
space. We recommend that you have at least an additional 200MB
of free space available after installing the game for the
Windows swap/page file and save games.

General Information

Installing the Secret Weapons Over Normandy Demo
------------------------------------------------
Insert the Secret Weapons Over Normandy Demo CD into your CD-ROM
drive. The launcher screen will open automatically unless
Autoplay is disabled. If it does not, double-click on the My
Computer icon, then the CD-ROM icon. This should bring up
the launcher menu. If it does not, double-click on SWoN.exe
in the window that opens. Click on the top button from the
following options and the installer will guide you through
the installation process.

You will be prompted to choose Automatic or Custom Installation.
Automatic installs Secret Weapons Over Normandy into the
default location on your hard drive and install DirectX if
your computer requires it. Choosing Custom install allows
you to change the installation location, and will also
prompt you if you would like the required version of DirectX
to be installed. The default installation location is
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Secret Weapons Over Normandy Demo.
Administrator Rights
--------------------
You will be unable to play Secret Weapons Over Normandy or
install DirectX unless you are logged on with Administrative
Rights.
Running the Secret Weapons Over Normandy Demo
---------------------------------------------
To run the game, click on your Start Menu, select Programs,
then LucasArts, then Secret Weapons Over Normandy Demo and
click on Launch Secret Weapons Over Normandy Demo. This will
bring up the Launcher screen. Click on "Play Game" on the
launcher and it will begin the game.
Desktop Color Palette
---------------------
We recommend that you set your desktop to True Color or
Highest(32 bit) color. When playing Secret Weapons Over
Normandy with your desktop set to a color palette other
than 32 bit, you may experience various problems while
running the game.
Task Switching
--------------
We recommend that you do not use ALT-TAB or CTRL-ESC to Task
Switch while playing Secret Weapons Over Normandy in Windows
98 or Windows ME.
Joystick Default Configuration
------------------------------
The game’s default Joystick configuration is configured for a
6-button controller. Because of this issue, you may need to
map your buttons before playing Secret Weapons Over Normandy.
