The Dead Cat Vehicle CTF Maps
These are the first batch of the Dead Cat Vehicle CTF levels...
The Dead Cat Vehicle CTF maps were created for individual use and for network play on dedicated servers. They are designed expressly for the UT2K4 Vehicle CTF game mode. This level is copyrighted by Epic Games and Toonces T. Cat. It may not be used for any purpose other than game-play without the express consent of the copyright holders.
The map file in this zip: VCTF-CarParkRoadrage][.ut2 is a replacement for the file: VCTF-CarParkRoadrage.ut2
To install the map just place the .ut2 file in your ut2004\maps folder.
IMPORTANT NOTE #1
The A.I. for vehicle CTF is apparently not ready for prime-time. As a result, the maps have been designed so that the bots will play primarily on foot and the vehicles are reserved for human players. When, and if, Epic sorts out the A.I. issues...or someone else figures it out and publishes a tutorial...I will appropriately updates the level to incorporate the changes.
IMPORTANT NOTE #2
A VCTF-TL mutator is included to allow you to use the Translocator in the VCTF game-type. To install the mutator, place the files: vCTF-TL.ucl, vCTF-TL.int, and vCTF-TL.u in your UT2004\system folder.
You must select it as a mutator when you play this level. This mutator will not interfere with the normal TL function in other game-types.
Many thanks to TsN|Byte for this terrific piece of work.
IMPORTANT NOTE #3
Many thanks go out to everyone that helped with this level:
Gusher from the Prefab lab for his most excellent vehicle meshes...
RStacey (Who I have tried without success to contact.) and Rich Eastwood and Plutonic for some of the textures and other bits and pieces...
Special thanks to Puma, Balefire, and DRCray for the beta testing...
IMPORTANT NOTE #4
This map is loaded with custom textures and static meshes. Mappers are welcome to use them in their levels as long as proper credit is given and no commercial ventures are involved...i.e. - Please feel free to use the items, just don't try to make any money with them.
Enjoy!
