Real Life v1.2 for Quake 3 Arena

This version of Real Life for Quake 3 Arena contains many new features, including new weapons such as the Miningun and M16 assault rifle. Several bugs were fixed as well. See [More Info] for more information.

Real Life Mod v1.2 for Quake 3 Arena (21.7.2000)

What it does ?

--------------

-now included new M16 assault rifle ;)

-realistic falling damage

-realistic weapons (yes it hurts. doesn't it :P)

-unreal weapons (plasmagun, railgun, bfg, lightning) are banned

-respawn times increased:

*armors, powerups and megahealths in 180 seconds

*health, ammo and team weapons in 120 seconds

-machinegun is now minigun :) (fire rate improved, but now so accurate anymore)

-ammo limits:

*minigun 200 bullets

*shotgun 30 shells

*grenade launcher and rocket launcher 10 grenades/rockets

-items changed (explained in the items part)

-doors can't be shot open

-players health can't go over 100 exept when using regeneration and when you respawn

-max armor is 150 (if you have 150 it will drop to 100 gradually)

-air moveability reduced

-reload times increased

*it takes 2,5 seconds to reload a grenade or rocket launcher

*it takes 1,6 seconds to reload a shotgun

Installation

------------

1. Make a directory named "real" in your quake3 directory

2. Unzip the files to the "real" directory

3. Play&Enjoy (P&E :D)

Run Q3A with this parameter +set fs_game real. Like this quake3.exe +set fs_game real

Items

-Health:

*Small Bandage 3 health

*Large Bandage 14 health

*Small Medpack 20 health

*Large Medpack 25 health

-Armor:

*Armor Patch 3 armor

*Kevlar Vest 30 armor

*Heavy Vest 50 armor

-Ammo:

*Shells 8 shells

*Bullets 30 bullets

*Frag Grenades 2 frag grenades

*Rockets 2 rockets

*M16 ammo 30 bullets for M16

-Powerups:

*Quad Damage, Battle Suit and Speed last for 15 seconds

*Invisibility, Regeneration and Flight last for 10 seconds

Known bugs

----------

-you can pickup ammo although your ammo is already at max, but it doesn't add the picked up ammo.

the machinegun doesn't have this bug.

-M16 skin still underwork
