"Are you a moleman at heart? Is Minecraft more about mining than crafting for you? If so, here's what you're looking for. This puts a lid on the entire world, no more sun, stars or moon. This mod is for Alpha SMP and SSP. Wood and light are *extremely* limited resources at first, and serious teamwork will be needed to get through the initial stages in SMP.
A "green space" is provided immediately around the spawn point so trees are available from the start, but you must find coal in the dark for your first torches.
To add to the danger quotient, adminium on the bottom of the world has been replaced with obsidian, so it can be removed."
