The Demo of the strategy/RPG Crusader Kings II allows you to play one of four different characters through 20 years of history. All single player capabilities as well as an extensive tutorial are included in this demo. There are no multiplayer capabilities, and please note that the ability to save & load have been disabled.

Increase your lands and fill your coffers, appoint vassals, root out traitors and heretics, , introduce laws and interact with hundreds of nobles and secure the future of your dynasty. A beleaguered king will always have friends to support him. But beware, as your rule and realm may find trouble when a loyal vassal becomes a bitter rival. Stand ready, increase your prestige, and listen to the world whisper your name in awe.

Boleslaw II Piast, known variously as the Generous, the Bold or the Cruel. Founded many churches and monasteries and established royal mints in Kraków and Wroclaw. Poland enjoys an easy starting position with plenty of opportunities for expansion against the Baltic pagans.
Duchess Matilda I controlled the duchies of Toscana and Spoleto and was a strong supporter of Pope VII in his conflicts against Emperor Henry IV. She is sometimes referred to as the Great Countess, and as the strongest Italian vassal of the Holy Roman Empire Matilda has a decent chance of consolidating the Italian peninsula under her own Kingdom.
Duke Vratislav II of Bohemia became the first King of Bohemia on June 15th, 1085. A loyal subject of the Holy Roman Empire, Vratislav helped crush a Saxon revolt and fought two wars against Poland. Bohemia enjoys the protection of the HRE while being more powerful than many independent states.
Doux Michael Doukas is heir apparent to the throne of the Byzantine Empire. His father, Constantine X, is not long for this life. While waiting for him to die, Michael can secure heirs of his own, and perhaps even campaign against the Pechenegs.
Crusader Kings II Main Features:
•Start a game at any point between 1066 and 1337 and play until 1453
•Pick a Christian noble and make sure his/her dynasty survives as you play a succession of your characters descendants through the ages
•Gain Prestige for every successive character you play, furthering the glory of your Dynasty
•Expand your feudal domain - and keep it from falling apart
•Unravel the plots of your courtiers and vassals, each with their own opinions and agendas
•Take up the Cross and fight the Moor, the Heathen and the Heretic.
•Defend against the onslaught of the Mongol Horde

•Relive the Middle Ages with up to 32 other players in a competitive multiplayer mode
