The largest advance in Shifter to date. This new, beta-status version of Shifter includes a near-complete verion of Shifter MP; frag your friends with style, play Shifter!
Shifter 0.9 Beta now features a near-complete Multiplayer system, with all the key goals of the mod realized. You now have one weapon slot for grenades and another for medkits/bioelectrics. Pressing the "Change Ammo" button will cycle between the available options for that category. The last two slots remain reserved for lockpicks and multitools. The rest of the slots are devoted to weapons, weapons, weapons! All known glitches from the new weapon system have been resolved, leaving you with a whole host of possible loadouts to choose from.
The advances don't stop with the multiplayer game either. New to Shifter are the classic RPG-style skill point awards. Each hostile you take down is another drop in your growing pool of skill points, with modifiers for distance, methods used, and the toughness of the enemy. Think you should be rewarded for single-handedly taking down a platoon of MiBs? Well now you will.
