MAPster is a tool for exchanging your Half-Life, Counter-Strike, TeamFortress, ... maps with your friends / enemies via a Local Area Network by sharing each users "..\maps" directory. It automatically searches the .bsp files you download for additional files that are needed to run the map (e.g. wads, sprites and so on) and downloads those, too. This works with all those modifications for Half-Life that have custom maps in a seperate "..\maps" directory.
