This small patch updates the Sacrifice Beta to version 1002. See long description for bug fixes. Note, this is a closed beta test that is password protected.

* Fixed: Mouse cursor disappearing over Direct3D choice box.

* Fixed: Spurious CD key in use.

* Fixed: Network resynch hang (fingers crossed)

* Fixed: Join game when another player leaves stops game from working.

* Fixed: 1 random crash joining a game.

* Fixed: Player leaving game before CD key validated crashes game.

* Fixed: Random crash when a remote player leaves the game.

* Fixed: Random crash on exiting a game or game lobby.

* Fixed: 1 minute delay between player crashing/linkdead and player leaving game

* Fixed: Possible (rare) assertion chunk!=NULL when entering game lobby.

* Fixed: Missing mouse when host quits during game startup

* Fixed: Inserting characters into chat input box.

* Fixed: Space between player name and 's in game type score lines.

* Fixed: Gamespy: connect waits until screen fade done before attempting connection

* Fixed: Gamespy: whisper now echoes to your screen.

* Fixed: Mouse speed now set from options on game boot up.

* Fixed: Winning wizard does not die when controlling player leaves game.

* Fixed: Your wizard is now killed when you surrender.

* Fixed: Keyboard input is now properly buffered on input boxes.

* Fixed: Soul wind / Soul Mole crash.

* Fixed: (this)->side!=NULL assertion while casting spell.

* Fixed: (hopefully) SacDoctors lining up infinitely at altar.

* Fixed: Player info getting hosed if you enter nothing but press OK.

* Fixed: Player info on a player who immediately leaves the room locks up.

* Fixed: Allied sides sometimes not working properly.

* Fixed: Chains of fire crash.

* Fixed: Convert/Desecrate use correct sparklie casting bits.

* Fixed: Sacdoctors can now be paralyzed

* Fixed: Sacdoctor's "victim" can no longer be targetted.

* Fixed: Sacdoctors now stand next to target corpse to resurrect it.

* Fixed: Sacdoctor getting stuck reviving corpse if host leaves the game.

* Fixed: Bore on sacdoctor bringing corpse back to life.

* Fixed: Can rebind zoom in/out properly (and can now bind +/-).

* Fixed: Problem with adding binding pause/screen shot/quicksave/load

* Fixed: Binding key to command with preexisting ctrl-key binding.

* Fixed: Guardian no longer fizzles if wizard runs out of range while casting.

* Fixed: Souls change to blue immediately when picked up by soul mole or soul wind.

* Fixed: Removed srand call that may have caused bogus random wizard choices in multiplayer.

* Fixed: AI stuck near manalith.

* Fixed: Now get verbal warning if select desecrate, move away from altar then try to cast it.

* Fixed: Selection arrows no longer scale with texture resolution setting.

* Fixed: Cursor trail wrong size with different texture resolution setting.

* Fixed: Creature is now released if sacrifice/desecration is interrupted

* Fixed: Drag box started in main window over minimap loses selection.

* Fixed: Disappearing models.

* Network now does not stop processing while making a level - should reduce loading crashes.

* Upgraded gamespy code to latest version - should fix numerous hangs/crashes in chat rooms.

* General:

* Added loading progress bar for each player in network game during startup

* Added more detailed debug info in thaum.err for join game bugs.

* Added more detailed debug info in thaum.err for resynch bugs.

* Added chat colors for gamespy lobby.

* Added emotes to gamespy chat (/me /em or :).

* Added password protected games.

* Added no map souls option.

* Added no map creatures options.

* Added descration message.

* Added legal splash screen (yuk!).

* Added speaker setup option.

* Changed sound provider choice box.

* A wizard you are desecrating against is "beaconed" to you and shows on your minimap.

* Sacrifice/Desecrate cloud now has animated texture (not final graphics).

* Tweaked chances of a gib (was too rare).

* Included FAQ.

* Added option to disable triangle strips for Voodoo 2 users

* Improved memory usage by about 50%.

* Better sound sample memory management

* General:

* Added warning message to game rooms based from a different version - you now cannot join these games.

* Sides no longer go neutral when they lose.

* AI wizard's escort more aggressive

* AI better soul balance measurement

* AI destroys shrines

* AI more apt to desecrate when appropriate

* AI attacks descrated wizards full force

* Text box in chat room now scrolls to hold more text

* Gamespy rooms now display # players under them (although waiting on GSI for this to be correct)

* Improved gamespy room layout.

* Game rooms now show a color based upon ping.
