THE BLUESCREEN is a simple but cool modelviewer. Why? Because it has a

completely blue map. This way you can easily make the background of your

screenshot transparent. And with the makeanimation script you can make a

rotating animation of your model.

*** INSTALLATION ***

Unzip/copy bluescreen.pk3 to your baseq3 folder...

*** RUNNING THE BLUESCREEN ***

In your console, write 'exec bluescreen'. The modelviewer will then load some

scripts and the bluescreen map. When the map is loaded use the keypad to:

KeyPad 5 - Toggle thirdperson view...

KeyPad LEFT - Turn left...

KeyPad RIGHT - Turn right...

KeyPad UP - Zoom in...

KeyPad DOWN - Zoom out...

KeyPad PGUP - Scroll up through the original Quake III Arena models...

KeyPad PGDN - Scroll down through the original Quake III Arena models...

If you don't want to use the bluescreen map, load the map of your choise and

write 'exec modelviewer' in you console. The map must be loaded using the

devmap command.

Everytime you toggle thirdperson view ON by pressing KP5, the thirdperson view

will reset to its default values (loading the Anarki/default model etc...).

Due to the way I've made the modelviewer script this can't be changed for now.

Maybe in a future version... This shouldn't be a problem, just write

'model yourmodel/yourskin' in the console to load the model you want.

IMPORTANT: These scripts make some changes to your q3config.cfg. To undo these

changes, write 'exec undoviewer' in your console when finished. Or put

'exec undoviewer' in your autoexec.cfg.

*** MAKING AN ANIMATION ***

The makeanimation script DOES NOT make the animation for you. It simply takes

some screenshot of your model at different angles. To execute the script write

'exec makeanimation' in the console. If you want to bind a key to the

script, DON'T. Unless you know how to remove the toggleconsole command from

the makeanimation.cfg file.

*** COPYRIGHT NOTICE ***

You may freely distribute the bluescreen.pk3 file as long as you don't make any

changes to it. You may however make changes for PERSONAL USE ONLY,

NOT DISTRIBUTION.
