Soldiers: Heroes of World War II - Minimap Mod

This mod removes the enemy icons from the game's mini-map to simulate a more realistic environment to gameplay. Move carefully.

This mod was inspired by Storm over Europe 1,8's minimap creator/s and Dilust, without whom this mod might never exist, and any credit for its creation is directed entirely to them.

This mod removes the red enemy placement indicators from the game's minimap in an attempt to simulate a more realistic battlefield condition. This forces players into a more tactical thinking mode. Caution or audacity will prevail depending on your actions alone. True warriors will find this mod a benefit to honing their tactical and strategic skills. The rest of the flotsam will whine and prove that they are not good enough to work without their training wheels(lol).

Known issues - This mod may not work correctly with all mods. It may blank the minimap leaving only friendly icons in it and no map at all. It may show all unmanned enemy and friendly vehicles, including vehicles that have been destroyed, but otherwise work just fine. Some mods are totally unaffected at all such as Afrika '42. These mods need special instructions to make this mod work with them(see below).

Installing SoE's Hidden Enemies Minimap - Download to the game's mods folder thus; ...Codemasters/Soldiers.../mods. In the game's Mods menu activate SoE's Hidden Enemies Minimap, alone or with any mod you choose. Start your game and good hunting :) .

For those mods such as Afrika '42 where this mod does not work you must remove the minimap.set file manually from the Africa '42 mod to a seperate folder that you wish to keep it in. This ensures you are able to replace the file should you so desire at a later date. Then copy(do not remove) the minimap.set file from SoE's Hidden Enemies Minimap mod and paste it into the location you removed the previous mod's minimap.set file. Save and start a game. If this is done it is not necessary to activate SoE's Hidden Enemies Minimap in the mods folder but if you do it should not affect gameplay.

Version 0.1m: removes dead and unmanned enemy vehicles from the minimap.
