Unreal Tournament 3 - UWindow2
UWindow2 is designed to be a powerful and flexible graphical user interface, that can be used for virtually any kind of user interface. It uses external configuration files to create themes, which allow the editing of themes without having to recompile UWindow2.

The action system allows for any type of actions to be created within script, which the user interface can then use as desired. Actions tend to be rather generic, such as writing to configuration files, profiles or doing specific actions within UWindow2. The data provider system allows any kind of data to be inserted into UWindow2. This data can be from Unreal Engine 3's internal data provider or data store system, configuration files, package contents and so forth. Lastly, UWindow2 also has a style sheet system which is somewhat similar to CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). This allows theme authors to write simple styles which can be reused over again rather than having to recreate each widget's appearance.

About
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
uWindow was the UI presented to us when Unreal Tournament was first released. A
lot of very nice innovative ideas were present in that UI. Things such as an IRC client,
a documentation window and so forth made it a very interesting UI. Typically most
games simply use simplisitc UI's since there isn't a great need for complex UI. However
with Unreal Tournament 3, one cannot feel that the UI is not one developed for the
console. uWindow2 is an attempt to recreate uWindow for Unreal Tournamenr 3, and
all of the innovative and fun features of uWindow.

Install Instructions
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Simply double click on the installer, it will point to your default Unreal Tournament 3
install directory then press install. If you dont have the registry for Unreal Tournament
3 the install may fail.
New shortcuts will also be created located in your start menu. This shortcut will help
you start up Unreal Tournament 3 with uWindow2.

Comments
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
uWindow2 is not a finished product. I simply ran out of time. I realized that a UI will
need more functionality than what is currently present and maybe over time uWindow
2 will achieve that. Thank you for download and trying out uWindow2.

CDKey
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UWindow2 uses a different directory to store configuration files than Unreal
Tournament 3. Because of this, when you first run uWindow2 it is possible that your
copy of Unreal Tournament 3 may not have a CDKey registered to it. There are two
methods to resolving this issue.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Manual CDKey entry
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Open the file 'UTEngine.ini' located within %INSTALL%\UTGame\Config with a text
editor, such as Notepad. Search for 'EncryptedProductKey', and you should find it
with a big long number attached to it. Open the file 'UTEngine.ini' located within
%INSTALL%\UTGame\Config\. If this file does not exist, you will need to run
Unreal Tournament 3 with uWindow2 before hand. Search for ''EncryptedProductKey'
and it should be 'EncryptedProductKey=NotForShip'. Replace the entry with the
same entry found in %INSTALL%\UTGame\Config\UTEngine.ini. Save and exit. You
should now be able to log in and connect to online games.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UWindow2 CDKey entry
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
uWindow2 also provides you a window from which you can enter in your CD Key.
While I can not guarantee you 100% safety in this method, I can assure you that
I have not embedded a key stealer. Simply enter in your CDKey, and click Save. It
will let you know if your key was valid or invalid. I use the same code as Epic to
verify CDKey's, thus if uWindow2 is having problems with your CDKey then ensure
that your CDKey is valid and typed in correctly. If you do not wish to use this
method, then please use the above.
