If you want a little more variation, or if you like a challenging game, this is the mod for you: it tweaks the creature lists, so you will actually encounter more creatures when walking in the wilderness, and more difficult and varied ones.

WHAT IT DOES:

This mod adds many new creatures to all of the wilderness level lists. It allows more of each type to spawn, harder ones to spawn at lower levels, and a small chance for pretty hard stuff to spawn that you will not be able to kill and should probably run away from.

WHAT IT WORKS WITH:

This plugin modifies the Wilderness Levelled Lists. It should work fine with anything else as long as those are left alone. It will work fine with anything that modifies item levelled lists because I didn't touch those at all. It will work with mods that modify individual creature levels as well, all this mod does is change what and can spawn, and when they can spawn, not the levels of the spawns.

INSTALLATION:

Put it in your data folder, and turn it on in the data files portion of the launcher.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Play this with the difficulty at 50% or so - anything much below that defeats the purpose of the added challenges from having a levelled list since you'll pretty much own anything anyway. Playing it above 50% may be suicide.

VERSION HISTORY:

v1.1 - Balance Changes: Wilderness Creatures Spawn more often farther away from roads. They can still spawn near roads, but more often than not will not venture to roads, as wilderness creatures are easily spooked, and more mythical creatures try to remain away from travellers to be left alone.

Removed old Boss creature due to a few complaints that freezes may have been related to her.

Streamlined the levelled lists such that creature spawns are far more random. This should allow for more variety, rather than just tons and tons of wolves.

FUTURE RELEASES:

- add more roaming boss-style creatures, and possibly more spawn points for all levelled creatures if the wilderness ends up feeling too empty, but I haven't personally had this problem yet, especially when a pack of wolves or trolls come tearing out of a bush after you.

- adjust bandit and npc spawn lists in addition to creatures
