I have enjoyed creating my map pack for Quake 2 so I have decided to make a conversion for Soldier of Fortune 2. This "alpha" version ONLY contains what I have completed so far... Unlike Quake 2, I was able to complete what was first conceived for "the house" which includes the furnitures for the first floor and the garage itself. If time permits me, I will try to continue making

the rest

Eight months on-and-off (weekends).

Editor(s) used : Using Quake 2 to add the framework of the garage,

retail version of qED (qED 2) "Unoffical QUAKE

After rescaling the maps to 1.463 for Soldier of

Fortune 2, qED 2 was also used to extract these

into .MAP formats which were permitted to be

opened by the Q3Radiant (GtkRadiant) !!!

Known Bugs : The player would intend to get "stuck" if he or

she (YOU!) jumps on the sink in the bathroom--

Crouch or Prone would still not solve it...

Compiling time : For graphic reasons, these maps were processed

using -fast for VIS. Therefore, the compiling

time for SoF2Sky1.bsp was shortened from a day

and three-quarter to 20-30 minutes top!

Set pieces : Using q3map2, "set pieces" were extracted

from .MAP formats of Soldier of Fortune 2

original .BSPs to be incorporated (and

sometime resized) for SoF2Sky1.

"Set pieces" are referred as chairs, tables,

lamps, models, etc.

* How to play this level *

Unzip SoF2Sky1.PK3 under Soldier of Fortune 2 "base" directory.

(example: C:\SoF2\base)

Start Soldier of Fortune 2...

When the menu finally comes up, access the console by pressing the left Shift key plus the "~" key...

Type "map SoF2Sky1" (without the quotes) and press "Enter"....

And you in!!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!!!
