Rico's Kung Fu Mod v2.0
This mod adds a kung-fu kick to Max Payne 2 that enables players to kick objects into enemies and sometimes cause damage. New moves, more kung fu, more action!
Well, after weeks of hard work i have finally gotten to the point where i feel like my new material is release-worthy. I plan to add a ton of new features in the future so i am far from done with modding in MP2. I plan to keep doing what i am now, to actually add new features to the game instead of just slapping a new skin and sounds and calling it a "new" mod. I plan to change core gameplay and add stuff people wished they had. I would appreciate feedback on my work and ideas are always welcome.
Remember, due to the nature of the changes i make to the game, some strange bugs may appear from time to time. I have learned to dismiss most of them but i know some people have an unforgiving eye. I am fixing bugs each day and working on a perfect release but as of now i can only give you the most perfect version i could squeeze out before i had to take some time off from modding.
I hope you guys have as much fun playing the mod as i had creating it. I encourage other modders to think outside the box and to add in new material instead of rehashing the same old stuff. Nothing adds more to gameplay than a new move or way of fighting, nothing is impossible...

Instructions:
- Simply unzip or unrar this file to your MaxPayne2 directory and then start up the game and choose "RicoModV2.0"
- Enjoy
Changes:
- ADDED IN GUN-KATA MOVE: After you pick up dual ingrams you gain the ability to use 'Gun-Kata'
a special move which allows Max to use his dual ingrams to spray at opposite sides to cause the ultimate
in action mayhem!
- Altered the kick trajectory to make objects fly further and higher
- Punch enemies and then kick them for that extra helping of arse-whooping!
- Added Bullet time music and tweaked bullet time values (may rip this out for public release)
- Tweaked the reload animations for most akimbo weapons
- Punch damage animations tweaked for a more explosive bloodspray
- New particle emitter creates streams of blood instead of a puff when punching someone
- Grenade death animations tweaked for a more attractive death
- Grenades can now kill people if they hit them directly, they bounce off then explode.
- Kick now works when holding 2 handed weapons (shotguns, rifles)
- Fixed grenades duplicating themselves after touching the ground.
- Fixed strange grenade animations
- Gun-Kata uses ingram ammo.
- To get gun-kata you must first pick up the dual ingrams, then it becomes an option.
- Added punch as a primary weapon
- New Hud images for new weapons and attacks.
- Fixed some of the new melee weapon animations. Max doesn't look retarded quite as often as he used to when he kicks.
- Added new Bullet time cameras:
Use gun-kata when in deep bullet time to get a view from above!
Use the Punch attack in deep bullet time to see the look on the guy's face right after you popped him one!
- Added "prime" function to gun-kata: Hold down you secondary attack button to ready up your dual ingrams then
Walk into a room full of baddies to unleash your fury.
- Tweaked kick damage to reduce the chance of setting off gas canisters when kicked (still working on improving it)
- Removed player control while max performs melee attacks (this was done to remove animation glitches)
- Bullet time music: Prodigy - Smack my bitch up.
- Fixed bug where grenades would sometimes leave bloodstains after exploding.
- Fixed bug where kick would sometimes do no damage.
- Fixed bug where a grenade would be seen while punching.
Bugs and Future changes:
- Find better animations for high punch, low punch, high kick, low kick.
- More gun-kata moves.
- Try to get around secondary weapons sometimes dissapearing after gun-kata, this was a workaround to get past engine limitations.
- Add new throwing weapon: "Ninja stars"
- Add new menu graphics.
- New soundeffects? To be seen.
- Improve on the mod graphically, i need to find a good skinner and someone who can make particles.
- Add in 'adrenaline' a new special move... i will explain later!
- Further tweak the effects of gun-kata moves.
- More blood!
- Better BT music (i know it wasn't the best song in the world)
- More BT tweaks
- Maybe add a new primary weapon, the revolver.
- Add new maps? I need some good map designers to help me out here, i suck at MaxEd2.
- Modeler? It would be great if i could get some models for new weapons.
- Put something in Max's hand so it doesn't look like he's 'scratching' the enemy when he punches, maybe brass knuckles or an 8 ball.
- Find a way to make gas canisters not explode when kicked.
- Implement some of my new moves into the enemy AI... not sure if its possible.
- Get feedback on taking away player control when in melee... will put back to way it was if not liked by community.
- Replace crouch with a new move... not sure on exactly what yet.
- Work on a new dual weapon system... try to see if i can perhaps allow the user to make CUSTOM combinations. (IE: 1 beretta 1 deagle)
