-------------------------------------------------------
Program Name : ReplayManager
Program Version : 1.0.0
Used With : Grand Theft Auto Vice City
-------------------------------------------------------
Introduction:
ReplayManager allows you to manage and view all your
Vice City replays without having to exit the game.
Use the function keys to save, load, and delete
replay files while playing Vice City.
Installation and Setup:
Install the program into any desired location.
Run ReplayManager.exe, program will run in the task
bar. (Icon: Rm)
On first run it will complain that the User Files and
Backup folders can not be found. Right click on the
icon in the task bar, then click Set User Files
Folder. Browse to the GTA Vice City User Files folder
on your computer (in My Documents), and click select.
Create a new folder on your computer to be used for
storing saved replays, this folder must be different
to the User Files folder. Right click on the icon in
the task bar, then click Set Backup Folder. Browse to
the newly created folder and click select.
If you want to be able to delete saved replays from
inside Vice City, then click Enable Delete (F6) in
the icon menu.
The delete.wav, load.wav, and save.wav sound files
that are located in the ReplayManager folder can be
replaced with any other wav file to change the
confirmation sounds.
Operation:
Standard Vice City replay keys still apply, however
when you press F2 to save a replay, the ReplayManager
will put a copy of the replay into the backup folder
giving it a name based on the current date and time.
If this operation completes successfully you will
hear a confirmation sound approximately 1.5 seconds
after you press F2. (Note: putting your own copy of
replay.rep in to the User Files folder while running
the ReplayManager will cause it to think a new replay
has been saved and it will then copy it to the backup
folder.)
You can use the F4 and F5 to cycle forwards and
backwards through the replay backups. When the
ReplayManager detects one of these keys it will load
the appropriate backup file back into the User Files
folder. If this operation completes successfully you
will hear a confirmation sound, you can then press F3
to view the loaded replay. (Note: if there are no
saved replays then no sound will be played.)
If you have enabled the delete option, after you have
saved or loaded a replay you can press F6 to delete
the replay out of the backup folder. (Note: the replay
will not be deleted from the User Files folder so F3
will still play the deleted replay.) If this operation
completes successfully you will hear a confirmation
sound.
From outside Vice City you can use the icon menu to
select the Last Replay option. This will bring up a
message with the file name of the last replay that
was saved or loaded. This is useful for knowing what
file was the replay you last watched.
The menu can also be used for easy access to the User
Files and backup folders.
-------------------------------------------------------
Known Problems:
ReplayManager occasionally does not pick up the key
press.
Only happens rarely, just press the key again until
you hear the confirmation sound.
