A 7 levels map pack for Quake 2. New graphics and new sounds for your enjoyment. Took place in a house and eventually, a skyscraper!!
***This map set would NOT function correctly in software mode. You must set
the video for Open GL. Therefore, like Quake 3, you must have a 3D
accelerator card installed in your computer.***

*Summary*
A house floats in mid-air with a surrounding force field whereas no
soldier can go in or get out. A new disciple of the Stroggos has taken
refugee in this house. He is possessed by the enemy, the Stroggos. He would
not give the "head" until his demands are made...
The Special Task Force (STF) comes in to clear things up....
*The Story after "GOT MILK?"*
Carmack: "Hello..."
You:
"You look 'terrible'..."
Carmack:
"Thanks... I feel terrible..
I like to thank
you for achieving my head..."
You: "No problem. Luckily, we have achieved the Stogg's technology to
reattach it."
Carmack: "How was it?"
You:
"It was like watching a bad Star Trek episode, 'Spock's
Brain.'"
Carmack: "Did you get the CD?"
You: "CD?"
Carmack: "That's what they were after. Apparently, they don't want me to
make that DOOM game.. since I kind've knew their secret weapon."
You: "Were you possessed?"
Carmack:
"Possibly. They accidently incorporated their plans into
my mind."
You: "Where is it?"
Carmack: "Must be at the convention."
You: "The SKYSCRAPER?"
Carmack: "Yes."
You: "It's well guarded and condemned."
Carmack: "Take the secret passage underneath the stairs. It used to be a
historical underground railroad for the slaves during the Civil
War. This would lead you to the SKYSCRAPER. And by all means,
get that CD."
You: "I will..."

Found out about it when I bought the "Unoffical
QUAKE Level Design Handbook" written by Matt
Tagliaferri, SYBEX, Inc. (c) 1997.

Known Bugs : The only bug I have found is shooting a grenade
on the top glass window of the back roof. You will
receive an error of an 'overflow'. Nothing will
explode like it suppose to do. And the windows
would not appear to be broken into.. but it has!!
You can enter these windows still even if the
textures are still there. I can't seem to find the
solution for this. Sorry.
: ***Special note*** Error in full compile, never
finish it at all?! Four maps, listed below, were
done -fast compile instead. This should not affect
the game in open GL but in software mode they would
*CRASHED* (This has been proven!!!)*****

3D Accelerator Card : ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon.
Textures : "Sky" extracted from a pak provided by the late
Terror Quake 2 modification.

: Other city and "sky" extracted from a Half-Life
modicifation called, POKE 646.
: Other textures like the roof, house's exterior,
posters, panels, etc. downloaded, manipulated, and
created by me.
: History and pictures of the "Underground Railroad"
and the Civil War aspects were provided by the
NationalGeographic.com and other nice links which I
have forgotten to mention.....
Sounds : "Got Milk?" extracted from the actual commercial,
downloaded from the internet. Edited by using Cool
Edit Pro software.
Credits : I credit the late Terror Quake 2 modification for
the most wonderful and useful textures. Great job,
guys, whoever you are...

Keranen for responding a simple e-mail, regarding
Quake 2 editing. Although, he couldn't remember
the exact procedure but his "clues" gave me the
answer. Thanks, Ikka, for responding.
* How to use this level *
Create a directory under your quake2 directory called skyscrap
(e.g. c:\quake2\skyscrap) and unzip Skyscrap.zip into this directory. WARNING:
DO NOT unzip the files into your baseq2 directory!
Run the game by entering e.g. "quake2 +game skyscrap +map intro +set skill 2"
at the command line (pressing ~).
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!!!
Thanks for downloading it.
P.S. If a door doesn't open, you must kill the enemy who has the ability to
open it. Even, if you don't see him but "hear" him. Try shooting grenades..
..
