BoB Summer Terrain Mini-Mod
Converts Battle of the Bulge to a summer environment - grass and leafy trees. It is NOT a custom map - just a facelift for BoB. Can be used on normal DC (or BF1942) BoB servers.

This mini-mod will replace the ground textures and trees on the Battle of the Bulge map.
It is primarily intended for use in Desert Combat, because I felt that a snow-covered map looked out of place with the DC equipment and skins - though if you wanted to, I suppose you could use it for regular Battlefield 1942 games or any other mods that use the Bulge map ...
The ground textures are all grass now, there's not a flake of snow to be found. The spruce and pine trees are replaced with deciduous birch and aspen - I felt that such trees were better suited to the locales in which Desert Combat battles might occur. While I have not changed the position of any objects, the map LOOKS more heavily forested now, and is almost reminiscent of a Ghost Recon level. I hope you enjoy it!
INSTALLATION:
Unzip the Battle_of_the_Bulge_726.rfa to your \Mods\Desert_Combat\Archives\bf1942\levels folder. If you wish to use it in another mod, place it in the equivalent folder.
If you wish to uninstall this mini-mod, simply delete the Battle_of_the_Bulge_726.rfa file.
TESTING/COMPATIBILITY:
This mini-mod was developed for use in Desert Combat 0.25 with version 1.3 of Battlefield 1942. It should work equally well on Battlefield 1942 version 1.2 or later (and any mod thereof), but I make no guarantees. The mini-mod has been tested online and will work with normal DC Battle of the Bulge games. The only thing that is really changed is how you see it. The grass is green, the trees look different, but you won't get a "data differs from server" or anything like that.
THIS IS NOT A CUSTOM MAP. IT JUST MAKES REGULAR BULGE GAMES LOOK DIFFERENT.
KNOWN ISSUES:
The only problem is a minor aesthetic one - in a couple of places, the trails may not line up perfectly or there may be a small strip of the underlying terrain color. These areas are the borders between terrain tiles. As the trails were copied over onto each individual tile, rather than one massive map texture, this was very difficult to avoid. But it will not affect play in any way.
