Tropico: Paradise Island v1.51 (German)
Here is the Italian v1.51 patch for the expansion game to Tropico. See the additional information page for more details.
If you installed Tropico and Paradise Island to a directory other than the default, you must first type that directory in the "Install To" box.
CRASHES
* Fixed crash in wrapper screens when player had won the game. This bug sometimes
caused crashes when the screen display was trying to switch to the win/lose
(balcony/rowboat) animation.
* Fixed crash related to cloud removal.
* Fixed crash caused by destruction of marina while its boat was out sailing
around. Now the boat will eventually exit the map.
* Fixed crash caused by selecting (in order) the Building Mode button, Landscape
tab, Large Fountain, Info Mode button, Building Mode button again, then moving
the cursor over the map.
BUILDINGS
* Added hover-help to rubble generated during play, to indicate what type of
building it was (so that buildings destroyed by storms can be identified and
rebuilt.) To see this, place the cursor over rubble created during the game, and
the building's name will appear at the bottom of the screen. This will not work
with rubble created in the editor, nor with games last saved prior to applying
this patch.
* Can now bulldoze ranches. (The animals disappear when the building does.)
* Increased rate of grass growth in order to make ranches more profitable.
* Ranches no longer show meals being sent to a marketplace when no marketplace
exists.
* Power plant no longer generates electricity for a month when first built, despite
having no engineers.
* Power plant no longer supplies electricity to buildings when all existing power
plant engineers have quit/died.
* Fixed bug with TV Station, Radio Station, Newspaper and Movie Theater that
enabled multiples of the same building to use the same Option if the buildings
were facing different directions.
* Fixed missing line in central control panel which displays average number of
readers/listeners/viewers for newspaper, radio & TV stations.
* Moved colonial fort closer to beach in random games.
* Fixed bug that made the colonial fort appear more often than the archaeological
site in random games.
* Fixed units walking through walls of, and visits by women to, cabarets.
* Fixed bug that let player select the presidential-retirement-fund option of El
Prez' Childhood Home or the private auction of the Fort's artifact-dig option
when "Incorruptible" was one of the dictator's character traits.
* Changed tennis court from Relaxation to Sporting Event site.
UNITS
* Added Spring-Break-Tourist (SBT) riots. If there are at least ten SBTs on the
island and their average Overall Tourism Rating is 37 or lower, a warning about
their unhappiness will appear. If conditions do not improve, a riot may follow.
In a riot, some/all SBTs will target a particular building and cause damage to -
or in some cases even destroy - it in a manner similar to an uprising. (Note:
police/soldiers cannot shoot or arrest tourists.)
* Fixed bug that sometimes caused laborers to stop working when the player tried
to build atop rubble.
* Added code to help keep workers on the job they're initially assigned via the
editor.
* Added code to remove corpses in a timely manner. (Same code as was in the
1.07 patch.)
* Cattle and goats are no longer shown as homeless in the Job & Housing panel.
RANDOM EVENTS
* Decreased damage probabilities for all storms (i.e., they're now less destructive).
* Limited the occurrence of storms to no more than one every four years.
* Made changes to influence overall happiness immediately following a storm, to
help insulate El Presidente from voter backlash when a storm hits right before
an election.
* A storm will no longer destroy the only dock if the player's current treasury
plus the post-storm aid will be < $3500.
* When a storm destroys a ranch, its animals now die.
* Strikes now last 12-24 months.
* A maritime strike forces ships to leave the map as soon as possible. Ships
(un)loading at a dock will leave as soon as they have finished that activity.
SCENARIOS
* Fixed bug in Win event in Mt. Sucio (LTDGSProTourism to LTDGSRevTourism).
* Added missing period in EcoTrop intro. (It was only the final period, but it gave
the appearance that more text was missing.)
* Fixed bad grammar in EcoTrop drill.evt message.
* Added extra text to Presidente For Life intro to explain presence of elections.
* In Tropicolegio, fixed name of dictator and corrected initial calculation of # of
grads on island at start.
* Fixed typo in PegLeg's Cove intro.
MISCELLANEOUS
* Added TPI buildings to hover-help text for tourist attractions. To see this
text, select a tourist unit, click on the Preferred Attractions tab in the
central control panel, then place the cursor over the names of the attraction
categories.
* Added missing "skill" hover-help text for Attendant, General and Journalist: To
see this text, select one of these units, click on the Skills tab in the central
control panel, then place the cursor over the name of the unit's job.
* Removed phantom hotspot in circle window when in Info mode.
