Smolensk Stalemate - by Joni "Xendance" Makela
The Smolensk offensive started on the 7th of August 1943 at 6:30 AM with a breakthrough towards Roslavl. Three armies were committed to this offensive: the 5th Army, the 10th Guards Army and the 33rd Army. However, the attack quickly encountered heavy opposition and stalled. German troops attempted numerous counterattacks from their well-prepared defense position, supported by APCs and the fire of heavy mortars.

The second Russian winter offensive of 1943-44 launched early in January 1944. The Soviet offensive falling short of accomplishing its purpose after twelve days of fighting drove a deep wedge southwestward across the Dnepr and captured the town of Kirovograd. Stuka dive bombers scream overhead as the russians attempt to assault the entrenched germans defenders at the top of the hill - The battle of the Tcherkassy pocket has begun.

Take part in one of the most ferocious days of combat during the siege for the city of Stalingrad. On October 13th, 1942 the German 6th Army had launched a the last great offensive of the campaign to seize the northern factory district with the massive tractor factory as the first objective with the intent of severing the Russian lines and reaching the Volga, splitting the 62rd Army in two. The battle begins here, at 0600 hours on Monday, October 14th, 1942...

Russian soldiers have set up camp within the ruins of an old, stripped industrial complex. A group of German soldiers, also eager to escape the frost bitten winds enter the complex only to find out it's already inhabited with Russians. A close-combat blood bath ensues as the two enemies battle it out in the hollowed out remains of building skeletons.
Zhitomer 1941 - by Johan "Drecks" van Pelt
Operation Barbarossa is in its third week and German forces are penetrating the center of Zhitomir. Stubborn Soviet resistance has slown down the German rage and small infantry groups have dug into Zhitomir defending the city at all costs. Soviet defenses are situated in apparrtmets and along streets with a warehouse being their HQ. Axis forces however are ready to crush the soviets.
