FilePlanet Recommends Mount and Blade

Mount and Blade

If there was an award for a game that comes out of nowhere and turns out to be a lot of fun, Mount and Blade would take home the gold. An innovative RPG set in medieval times, Mount and Blade features unique horseback combat in an open sandbox environment, and has definitely turned out to be a fun title.

My first exposure to Mount and Blade was through the demo right here on FilePlanet . I fired up the game and jumped into the tutorials right away to make sure I knew how to properly mount things and blade stuff. After playing around performing medieval drive-bys on straw dummy targets, I figured it was time to start my real experience in the open world environment.

Taking to the open map was a nice feature, especially when a gang of looters appeared on foot. Riding around on my horse while hacking away with an axe hardly seemed fair, but it was a whole lot of fun. I truly went medieval on their asses.

Overall, this is a very solid RPG. I actually had a lot more fun playing through the game than had I expected. Who doesn't like to pretend they are a knight in Medieval Times? Check out
