The Stronghold of the Titans
An updated version of the original CTF-Stronghold_of_the_Titans map.
This is the FIXED version of my original map (sorry it took so long, I've been quite busy), containing everything from the original version, plus improved effects and details, some corrected optimization and bot pathing issues, and several added bonuses for map navigation by the players. However, players of the previous version should understand that this is an update, and not a sequel.
The issue of optimization is an important one, for I would love slower machines to be able to play this map. However, the heavy use of static meshes (which adds great beauty) slows the game down, and anti-portals and blocking volumes only provide minimal increase in frame rate. Zoning in this map was quite impossible, due to the massive open area nature of the map. Many gamers have faster systems, so this map should be enjoyable by the majority of gamers out there, but all so perhaps consider decreasing basic graphics and sound options in order to increase framerate.
Instructions:
Simply add it to the Maps sub-directory in the UT2003 main directory, and add the Stronghold_column.usx package to the static meshes directory.
