Bloody Brick Award - Most Unwelcoming City
WINNER: SILENT HILL


A most disturbing piece of real-estate inhabited with distorted nurses, Pyramid Head and blood-splatter bunny suits - the only thing likely to be raised in Silent Hill is Hell itself. Based around the series of the same name, Silent Hill is notorious for making even those with stronger constitutions jump a little. You can get a taste with several demos on FilePlanet including Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4.

Runner-up: BioShock (Rapture), Fatal Frame II (Haunted Village).


Haunted Airlock Award - Scariest Sci-Fi Game
WINNER: DEAD SPACE


An alien infestation not for the squeamish, Isaac Clarke battles slice by bloody slice aboard the mining ship USG Ishimura. A recent contender in the arena having launched only October last year, Dead Space and it's over the shoulder perspective and terrifying Necromorphs easily take the award.
