Mod of the Month - Neotokyo Source

Welcome back to July's "Mod of the Month" here on FilePlanet where we celebrate one truly exceptional creation and creator every month to reward them with gold coins, glimmering rubies, intricate woven tapestries and none of those. We're proud to announce Neotokyo Source taking the proverbial belt from last month's winner Project Reality. Having been in production since October 2004 the Half-Life 2 mod has come an incredibly long way in the process.

Taking place in the future of a Japan that is filled with social/political strife from the changing times, the modification centers around the ongoing battle between the Ministry's National Security Forces (NSF) and the GSDF Special Forces (JINRAI). Their website states the game is "greatly influenced by our admiration for Masamune Shirow and Katsuhiro Otomo " and it's easy to see that with their art and screenshots.



Once jumping into the game, select between JINRAI and NSF, then between one of three classes (Recon, Assault and Support) and lock and load your primary weapon then prepare for a visceral sci-fi combat experience. Great work guys!
