E3, the dark period.

The past week has been one of pronounced quiet in gaming news, many resting after E3. Opinions are varied on whether the new setup was effective with wide gaps between meetings and a more severe closed-door event. I've heard more negative then positive though about the way things went. What happened to the brain-splitting sound systems, amusement park booths and half-naked cosplay babes? Dark times for the gaming industry indeed.

1-18-08 – What The F***?

If you saw the Transformers movie (and I strongly suggest you do) you saw the trailer for 1-18-08, AKA Cloverfield. If you haven’t, we have it for you here. Now nobody quite knows what to make of this. Some people say Voltron, some say Godzilla or Cthulu. Personally I don’t think it’s anything we’ve seen anything like it before. The man producing it, J.J. Abrams is best known for his work on the hit series Lost. A freaky little mystery series that has kept watchers guessing and is *very* original work. Harry Potter's #7

Insanity ensued on the 21st of July as the final Harry Potter novel Deathly Hallows was unleashed among the masses. Would Snape finally wash his hair? Would Ron and Hermione finally hook up? Do chocolate frogs take over the world? I bought the book, but don’t expect me to tell you any spoilers. You have to pay the 35 bucks and find out your damn self. Personally after J.K. Rowling turned Draco into a ferret, I’ve harbored some resentment ever since.

The White Chamber

I’m going to finish off with this free game I found recently, because I feel it deserves mention. It’s a creepy little anime type game with a girl on ship slippery with blood and guts. The graphics are top notch if cartoony, and there seems to be tons of audio and decent puzzles. Get through it without the cheat guide, I’m still working on that!
