Army of Order
Warhammer Online is going full swing here at FilePlanet and the first big question to answer is Order or Destruction? This article we're going to take a brief look at the three races of Order, and then next we'll be looking at the more destructive side of things. So without further ado, here we go....
Dwarfs:
Residing in hills and mountains, dwarfs of the Warhammer series make their home in large strongholds. Dwarfs are, quite obviously, short and rather stout in stature making them suited for their tunnel travels as well as swinging a large hammer. The dwarfs are by far Warhammer's most technologically advanced race, and are regarded as consummate engineers. Where other races use wooden ships to travel overseas, the dwarfs use ironclad dreadnoughts and nautilus, the Warhammer equivalent of early battleships and submarines. The three current careers for Dwarfs are Ironbreaker, Rune Priest and my personal favorite - the Engineer.
Empire:
The Empire is both visually and in geography it is based upon the Holy Roman Empire during the Renaissance and/or Early Modern period. The religion of the Empire is polytheistic, with the god Sigmar being the most important. Sigmar is exalted, having been a powerful warlord who unified various tribes to form the Empire. The armies of the Empire are amongst the most diverse in the Old World. Older forms of troops like spearmen, swordsmen and halberdiers, especially the personal bodyguard of the Elector counts the Greatswords, archers and crossbowmen fight alongside more 'modern' troops like cannon, Handgunners and Pistoliers. The three current careers for Empire are Bright Wizard, Warrior Priest and Witch Hunter.
High Elves:
The High Elves for the main part confine themselves to Ulthuan, though they have colonies across the known world, and their ships are the finest that sail upon the waves. Elves are nearly immortal, expected to live for about 2500 years, and their Mages are among the best in the world. The four current careers for High Elves are Archmage, Shadow Warrior, White Lion and the sexy Swordmaster.
