E3 2009 - Day Three - Final Day
8:00 - A quiet entry into E3 today, there seems to be more buzz then ever on the third day of
the convention. Though there is more then one person looking quickly sickly and hung over, a victim
of the E3 parties put on by many of the big publishers/developers. Yes this is me, on the third day
feeling quite weary and full of tasty donuts.
10:00 - Doors are open again for the last time; people are rushing to finish seeing booths they missed and hogging all the best games. I managed to muscle myself into Batman: Arkhan Asylum and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. Is it weird that I think Harley Quinn is hot?

11:00 - Ok, winning the award of the strangest swag of E3 2009 is Rabbids Go Home who will let you trade any piece of swag in exchange for boxers or thong. Pictured here is the thong, and no - it's not for me.

12:00 - Lunch is a feast of In-N-Out Double-Double (The Best Burger Ever). After fueling up on far too much hamburger then is legally safe, we went to snap up a final round of pictures of E3 including booth babes, so stay tuned for those later.
1:30 - Processed more images, check these out:

E3 2009 - Day Two
7:00 - Get bumped from behind by a yellow pick-up, the guy gets out wearing a stuffed animal on his head. We switch info, he lifts the plush dog apologeticly... So begins another surreal day at E3.
9:00 - Chug Two 5-Hour Energy's that were given away at the G4 booth, feel my skin crawl and my senses highten. I have upgraded from a ferret to some sort of panther-like entity waiting to pounce on the E3 Floor.

10:00 - Doors fling open and and I'm immediately entranced by Splinter Cell Conviction and Assassins Creed II. Heard rumors that there are ACII shirts, but none seem to exist. Additionally, secret service men stalk the halls with mysterious metallic cases. Any acts of hailing them only results with a "Please step aside sir, this isn't a joke."
11:00 - Visit with the League of Legends team, an extraordinary title that really captures the Defense of the Ancients feel with less of the headache. Played a round, and got totally pwned. They are in closed beta right now, but a more open beta is planned it sounds like. Look forward to it, and me kicking your ass.

12:00 - Some random pics:

2:00 - Huxley just launched on FilePlanet! We know that must catch you by surprise, it's been laying low on the game radar - but utilizing the powerful Unreal Tournament 3 engine this is one incredible title. It's available for Subscribers only, but think of it this way: Subscription gains you access to Huxley, America's Army 3 and Uncharted 2. I know you can't be at E3, but at least you can try out next-gen titles eh?

1:00 - Allen Rausch or "The Angry Bear" from FilePlanet joins us as we head out on the E3 floor with our extremely amateur shakey cam footage. I would be the one shaking the camera (though not on purpose, I assure you.)
ERROR: Movie not shown.

E3 2009 - The Day Before...
Note: Check out our E3 Trailer Index & our Pre-E3 Photo Gallery!5:30 AM - Wake up, infuse my veins with caffeine in an excited frenzy of new games.
7:00 AM - Excitement only somewhat lessened by the dismal LAX traffic, pretend it's an insanely boring video game through the drizzle-greased smudges on my window.

7:30 AM - Success, arrival at E3 Convention Center with all four wheels still on my car.
9:00 AM - Park in a lot far too expensive, in a spot far to small, a very, very long way away from where I'm supposed to be. Random person carrying a Wii Fit helps me get directions. Note to Self: Wii fit can provide a better sense of direction?
9:30 AM - Check in, get my sexy Nintendo badge holder. Harassed by several burly staff that stalk the corridors. Conversation usually proceeds like this dozens of times:
Guard: You're not on the list.
Ferret: Yes, I know... I have a green bracelet.
Guard: I don't see your badge, it doesn't match.
Ferret: Green . . bracelet.
Guard: I'm sorry, you can't enter.
Ferret: *Makes random monkey noises*
Guard: Oh, you have a green bracelet... Go ahead.
10:00 AM - Carry my computer a couple dozen miles and upstairs to the IGN War Room, it's already heated with the sweaty bodies of IGN editors, video equipment and now one very tired ferret. I celebrate with a 5 dollar Cinnabun with consistency of a fossilized dino turd, which is about how I felt after I ate it.

10:30 AM - Microsoft conference is underway, the room is silent with occasional bouts of laughter or swearing depending on if the MS feed is functional. Points of interest:
- The Beatles: Rock Band Including guest appearances by Paul McCartney and Ringo.
- Tony Hawk: Ride with a new controller shaped like a (you guessed it) skateboard.
- Metal Gear Solid: Rising Announcement
- Modern Warfare 2 footage
- Crackdown 2 footage
- Left 4 Dead 2 footage
- Splinter Cell: Conviction footage
- Alan Wake Footage
- Halo: ODST Footage
- Halo: Reach Teaser
- Xbox will work with Facebook and Twitter
- Project Natal, a controller-less tracker for your Xbox.
1:00 PM - Hyped up by the LA Convention Center's "Energy Cocktail" I head out to the show floor plastered with carpet samples, flat beds and packaged LCD screens to gather a bunch of pictures only to be greeted by a friendly sign telling me not to. Attempts to do so anyway only instigate trouble with the previously mentioned guards, who don't buy my reasoning of wanting to match the carpet of the PS3 booth with my home office. Sad panda.

Yes, it's a lame shot I know.
2:00 PM - E3 EA Conference is on.
- Dante's Inferno trailer
- The Sims 3 Launches tonight on Direct2Drive!
- Need for Speed: Shift footage revealed.
- Dragon Age: Origins Trailer
- Mass Effect 2 Trailer
- Fight Night Round 4 Gameplay
- The Saboteur with M-rated goodness.
- Crysis 2 screenshots, where is the trailer?
- APB Trailer
- Star Wars: The Old Republic
3:00 PM Power strips go down, building reinforcements come in and my computer takes a reboot pouding. I learn a valuable E3 lesson, bring a backup power unit.
4:30 PM Having failed in my previous attempt at images, I decided to stick outside the boundaries of the convention center and take pictures of the various banners that have been placed about. I'm attaching these below for your patience, enjoy!
