The Matrix Online is an MMORPG developed by The Wachowski brothers and the award-winning independent developer Monolith Productions. It takes place within the hyper-kinetic virtual reality world of the Matrix.

Where do I get an account to play The Matrix Online beta?
You will need to create an account here: https://members.warnerbros.com/web/betaReg/enter.jsp
If you already have an account then this is where you can sign in using your member name and password.

When can I sign up for the beta?
The MXO official beta launches on October 12, 2004 with 5,000 authentication keys being made available to subscribers on a first come, first served basis. This program is a Subscriber Exclusive, which means keys are available only to Founders Club and FilePlanet Subscribers so be sure and SUBSCRIBE if you’re not already a subscriber.

We’ll be releasing 5000 authentication keys to subscribers on a first come, first served basis on each Tuesday over the span of a month. If you missed your chance at getting a key this week, check back on 10/ 19, 10/26 and 11/2 to try and get a key again for your access pass into this sprawling world of virtual reality.

How do I know if I got accepted?
Upon sign up you are taken to a page that tells you "Congratulations! yada yada........"

You get your key on this page and an email is sent to you. If you arrived at another page, you missed this round of keys. Try again next Tuesday and good luck!

Note: There are no conditions under which a key can be issued if you were not accepted. Please do not email Customer Support with reasons why you should be given a key. Customer Support cannot manually hand out keys.

I'm subscribed, am I guaranteed a key?
No. This beta is first come first serve. When 5,000 keys run out there are no more until the next Tuesday. All subscriber applicants will also need to pass a system requirment screening process to gain access into The Matrix Online beta.

Why does it say my key is invalid?
There are certain conditions under which you will receive this message. They are:

1. You have already created an account on that key or a friend using your FilePlanet account did. Check with friends/family you shared your login with.
2. You mistyped the key, try again typing VERY carefully.
3. You have a firewall, router, ad blocker, pop up stopper, WindowsXP Service Pack 2 or any other number of programs that will block the Warner Bros. account server from identifying your key. It needs a clear connection to you to authenticate your key.

ONE key is given per FilePlanet sign up. Single keys are not given out multiple times to different people. There is no mistaking you received a unique key and the key is valid. It is only under the above circumstances that your key will fail. Neither FilePlanet nor The Matrix Online (Warner Bros) can issue you a new key. Keys are limited and so is the time frame in which to play.

When can I play the beta?
Beta sessions are Wednesday through Sunday; 3pm - 9PM PST (GMT -7). Beta testing hours are currently limited to certain days and times. As we get closer to release, these hours will gradually be increased. After registering with The Matrix Online, check the Beta website for the current test schedule. You will not be able to log in beforehand.

What is required for The Matrix Online?
First, you'll need a valid Credit Card in order to create an account with Monolith. Your credit card will not be charged.

You will also need to pass a system requirement screening process to gain access to the beta.

I recieved a page that said my application was accepted but I didn't get a key. Why is this?
Keys will be distributed via e-mail, in groups, in the order that we received the sign up. We'll be distributing keys until they are depleted. (5000 keys)
