Two full single player episodes (five regular maps and one secret map each). Many new monsters for your Quest including Dragons, Wizards, Axemen, the fearsome Bane and the diabolical Cult Lord. A backing storyline told through readable items in-game, cut-scenes, intermission text, and 'other' (you'll see). New tricks like readable items, ladders, cut-scenes, et cetera. A less linear form of single player Quake; for instance, there are several routes to take when infiltrating a Castle. Six deathmatch levels which can also be played in... New "Arena" gameplay spawns monsters into deathmatch maps for extended play value. Bots add additional replay value: play deathmatch, cooperative arena with your friends, or bots, or both. Your axe doesn't suck anymore - you can use it to gib annoying zombies, it's also actually useful as a weapon.
