Here is the v1.02 update for your Divided Ground title. Read more info for notes on installation.
Please note: this procedure is DIFFERENT from other TalonSoft updates!
First, locate and DELETE the DG.ICD file from your Divided Ground folder on your hard drive.
When prompted to, save the update to your hard disk. For easier installation, download the saved file directly into the game folder.
The default directory for Divided Ground is C:\Program Files\TalonSoft\Divided Ground. If you have loaded the game to a different directory, download the update there.
Once the file is downloaded, double-click on the downloaded file. The WinZip Self-Extractor Screen will start and will ask you for an installation directory "Unzip to folder:" The default folder is already included. If you installed your game into the default C:\Program Files\TalonSoft\Divided Ground, then you already have the correct folder selected.
Once you have selected the appropriate folder for extraction, press the Unzip button to update your game. When the update is finished you will see the message "43 files unzipped successfully."
Once the game has been updated, and you receive the update confirmation, you can remove the update from your system.
Notes when updating:
While executing the update if a problem occurs with a specific file locate the file in the game folder and make sure that it is NOT a read-only file. To do this, right click on the file, select properties, and uncheck the read only attribute.
Rarely, however at times, previous saved games are not compatible with current updates. It is recommended that you complete your previous games, unless you know that the update corrects a problem that you are having in the current game.
Note that in multiplayer games (e-mail, internet, etc.), both players must be updated to the same version of the game. Yes, US and UK versions are compatible, as long both have the same version number.
