Whats New:
=================
- Allows extraction of any/all possible files in cache directory.
It should be noted though that files such as Skins, UT System Packages
and possibly others may not be usable locally due to the fact that
the dependant files are not automatically extracted, or in the case of
skins the matching INT file is not created.
- Added right click context menu which allows you to extract, save to,
or configure UnrealCache.
- Added 'Configuration' screen, accessibly via the Application
context menu or by right clicking on the Cache listing.
- Small bug fixes such as the way file types were identified.

Well, basically this is a maintenance release to address some requests
and fix a couple of small problems. My original intent was to not
release another version until I had finished work on reading in the
Unreal Tournament package file header to determine file type and any
dependancies a file might have. Since I've been kind of slacking recently
and the amount of feedback I've gotten from various people requesting
the ability to extract other files, I've released this version. I still
intend on releasing a newer version which will have these features at
some point in time... but for the time being, this should suit most
peoples needs.
Requirements:
=================
A machine with UT v4.02 or higher installed(*)
(*) versions prior to v4.02 did not use a cache.ini file to track
the files in the Cache directory. Thus, UnrealCache will be
useless, since it depends on this file existing.
Installation:
=================
Just extract the UnrealCache.EXE to a directory of your choice and
run it. The first time the program is run, it will look in the
registry under:
HKLM\Software\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UnrealTournament
to try and determine where your Unreal Tournament is installed.
If it does not find a value, then it will ask you where the
Unreal Tournament folder is and set the Folder value under this
key.
What is it?
===========
UnrealCache is a utility which can be used to easily extract maps, sounds,
textures and various other resources from the Cache subdirectory of Unreal
Tournament. Instead of having to manually look at the 'cache.ini' file
and determine what GUID represents which filename, you can use UnrealCache
instead. My intent in writing this little application was to be able
to easily "yank out" any cached maps I might have accumlated and be able
to play them locally on my LAN games.
How's it work / whats it do?
============================
UnrealCache reads in the cache.ini file found in the Cache subdirectory
of Unreal Tournament, parses it and presents the user with a list of
files that are in this directory. The current version will only allow
you to extract map files (anything with a .UNR extenstion).. this is
by design as map files are ussually readily usable and simply dumped into
your Maps subdirectory of Unreal Tournament. A future version will
automatically recreate *.INT files for textures and extract any/all
dependant files.
