Hello all, and thank you for downloading this map file.
This is a pretty "hardcore" 1 vs. 1 deathmatch map, with
a few weapons, ammo, armor, and health.
-------------
Installation:
Extract the .gro file into your Serious Sam directory using the
un-zipper of your choice. The default Serious Sam directory during
installation of the game is "C:\Program Files\Serious Sam\" .
Serious Sam is now set up to start this map in Scorematch or
Deathmatch modes.
---------------
Map Statistics:
File size - 408 KB unpacked (417,000 bytes)
Recommended # of Players - 2 (perhaps a 3 player FFA is possible,
but I wouldn't recommend it)
Texture Style Used - Egyptian, in a more Quake-like setting
Music Used - "Valley of the Kings" Theme
Shadow Calculation Speed - about 1 second
Compile Time - about 0 seconds ;)
Hours Taken to Make - 10+ hours
-------------------------------
Files included in this archive:
flare_dm1v1.gro - contains the world and thumbnail texture, and this text file.
flare_dm1v1.txt - This is the readme file, that you are reading now.
Inside the .gro:
flare.wld - The world/map file
flare.tbn - This is the texture that serves as the mini-screenshot when choosing a level.
flare.txt - A copy of this text file
----------------------------------
Stuff I wish I didn't have to say:
This map is not to be distributed in any way other than the .gro file
that this readme is contained in. This file is to accompany the .wld
and .tbn file included in the .gro. Do not use this map as the basis
for your own, but feel free to learn how to make certain effects by
exploring it from within the editor.
