Here's my first game mix ever! First to be released that is, I've done some small conversions in the past, but nothing worth releasing. Anyhows, this is from a game that really has changed my life, it was the ultimate rpg ever in my opinion. The great thing I liked about Ultima Underworld 2 was that it had so many different worlds to explore, and thats something I've always loved about games. This tune comes from the icey world that the Avatar visits and learns of the legendary Lost City that was frozen centuries ago, something along those lines anyway. This was probably my favourite part of the storyline, and also had a very equal tune to it. This tune definately helps me explore worlds such as the Lost City when I close my eyes, and dream. If you are wondering about the An Tym part, it is a rune spell in Ultima Underworld 2 that causes time to freeze, which is what the Guardian did to the Lost City and probably the reason why the city died.

Appart from the drumbeat and a personal composition addition towards the end of the song (where it goes a bit louder and more 'actiony' I guess), I've left the original orchestration as it was in the MIDI. I'm pleased with the instruments I chose when arranging the piece and think the bell did the tune justice. The drums are a funny story actually, originally I had the tune done at a slower speed, and by accident, I set the tune to go a bit faster and found that the drumloop used still sounded good...what this means is that the drumloop isn't just looping like most songs, but it's actually only looping 3/4 of the sample. It's a little hard to explain, and thats why I called the style 'Electronic', as I didn't quite know what to put it under since it had such an unusual drum pattern. Also a big hooray for Bill Johnson's voice at the start, he did the voices of the Guardian for the game (he's the main evil guy).
