The Hexen (Krush Mix) was very much influenced by the new Crow movie soundtrack, which is very heavy-metal/industrial. If I knew the guitar I would have added that for sure. So I went for the synthesized mix as I don't have much choice yet. Hexen 2 had such a deep and moody soundtrack to it that I could not imagine any of the songs being turned into something upbeat and happy. The only thing that annoyed me about the original music was that it was slow most of the time, which did set the mood for the locations/textures and overall feel, but it was an action/adventure and sometimes I wished some fast drums would kick in to help me rid of those golems, I could actually see them moving to the phat beats in my head! And so, with thanks to Kevin Schilder and the always powerful golems, I made this mix.

I first arranged the piece with a orchestral synth set like the original, then I replaced the strings with dark synth sounds and changed the piano to high drum patterns. Although not much of it, I did put it some acid sounds, which go on through most of the mix, but can only really be heard clearly at the start and various other points. The drums were, ofcourse, carefully mixed again from three different drum pattern loops. There isn't much change in the song regarding leads and all, it's a moody piece redone from the original, however I did add some extras here and there. And finally, I added some Hexen 2 sounds straight from the game.
