Okay, this is my first game & movie mix together. I don't think it will be the last since I'm a huge soundtrack score buff. I first got the idea to mix two diff songs together when I ran a game and played some mp3's at the same time, with my new SBLive I heard both of the songs playing at the same time, and it just clicked into my head :). What better way to start this new formula, Doom and Dune. The Doom tune here is "The Demons from Adrians Pen", while the Dune piece is "The Duke's Death", although it also plays in the "Paul meets Chani" theme. I found that these tunes came together nicely, even tho at first it might seem a bit 'strange'. Let it flow and you'll understand. The name "Doomed On Dune" works well I think, knowing Duke Leto's fate when him and his family travelled to Dune. Very deep tune this one, emotionally.

I was amazed at how quickly I found the 'right samples' to use when recreating the Dune theme in this mix. The orchestral samples were great from the start, when I had the tune redone, the Doom tune sequence fit in smoothly. There's nothing more to say about the orchestral bits and pieces really, on to the drums. Wow, I spent 75% of the time on this mix removing drum patterns to make way for this amazing masterpiece. I wanted to leave most of the mix drumless so that people could hear both the Dune and the Doom theme at the same time. It was gonna either be the bass or the heavier drums during the middle, I chose that bass, it just sounded more right. The heavier beats come in towards the end when the Dune theme fades out.
