Game Types:

Survival

Survival mode maintains the spirit of good old deathmatching: kill everyone else. Because the weapons have been made non-lethal however, arena combatants must be creative in dispatching their enemies. Scorching lava, swinging pendalums, spiked walls and the void are among the options available. Keep in mind though that killing is not the only aspect of this style of play. This is called Survival after all, so points are not scored for making kills. The only player to receive a point is the last one left alive. Eliminated players are forced into spectator mode until the end of the match, at which point the map restarts with everyone in place.

King of the hill

In King of the Hill mode, players struggle to hold the highest possition on the map. This mode of play was designed to allow Bouncy to be played on any map, since it doesn't require andy custom entities to play. Works best on space maps.

Control

Control works much like King of the Hill, but instead of trying to be the highest, players fight for a particular possition marked by a flag. This could be high up on a hard to reach platform, sitting on a narrow bridge over hell fog, or just right in the middle of the ring with everyone shooting at it. Once every 5 seconds, the player who has spent the most time closest to the flag scores a point.

Weapons:

Gauntlet

The gauntlet is still not the most useful weapon in the game, but it's been spring loaded to pack one hell of an extra punch. In addition, the spark was reconfigured to act as a tractor beam, pulling nearby opponents right into your waiting fist!

Machine Gun

The machine gun has been super charged and loaded up with rubber bullets. A single shot won't exactly sent another combatant into orbit, but a good stream of bullets is greaet for changing the course of an airborn enemy!

Shotgun

The shotgun is sporting rubber pellets like the machine gun, but don't underestimate the power of this bad boy! At a distance it quickly looses power, but a close-up blast rivals even the railgun in power.

Grenade Launcher

These grenades pack an extra punch, but not in the diretion you expect. Instead of explosives they contain a vacuum sealed chamber that sucks everything towards them when they explode.

Rocket Launcher

Concusion rockets are now the ammo of choice for the rocket launcher. This is one of the preferred weapons of Bouncy combatants, as a skilled player can use it to direct his opponent right into the void or whatever other hazard happens to be nearby.

Lightning Gun

The lightning gun has been altered so that it's using it's power to pull rather than do damage. It works sort of like a reverse grappling hook: instead of you being pulled to your target, your target gets dragged to you!

Rail Gun

The rail gun has had it's slugs dulled down so they won't pierce anything any more. This means that when you hit someone with a slug, they are taking the full force of the shot and get to see the level from a whole new perspective.

Plasma Gun

Negative energy now flows out of the plasma gun, meaning it can now be used to freeze players in their tracks! An exellent tool if you want to line that rail shot up just right. Also watch out for the slippery ice patches...

BFG 10k

The BFG learned a new trick to compensate for it's loss of power... gravity. Even while the projectiles are airborn, they will pull combatants towards them. Good for pulling players out of their hiding places. Also, BFG flying and wall climbing make rocket jumping look like childs play.

Powerups/Items:

Quad Impact

What good is amplified damage when you aren't doing any damage to begin with? The Quad now increases the kick of your weapons rather than the damage. Watch out for the quad railgun! If you get slammed into the wall hard enough, it's bound to hurt...

Gravitron

The Gravitron orbits the player and produces an intense gravitational field making it very difficult to knock the player around. This is quite helpful when your getting pounded by your opponents, but remember that it makes jumping very difficult! Bounce pads will attempt to compensate for the extra gravity, but they still won't be perfect.

Lethal

Having the Lethal powerup is like jumping in a fist fight with a pair of brass knuckles. Any player carrying this nasty power will ooze blood all over the place, making them easy to find... and hopefully easy to avoid! They will be packign all the regular damage potential of their weapons. With no armor or health pick-ups, everyone else is easy pickings.

Anti-Gravity

Anti-Gravity is pretty much the opposite of the Gravitron. On the plus side, you get to jump really high, and fall really slow. This makes it easy to reach those high up places in a king of the hill match, or to correct a botched jump. Unfortunately, it also makese it easy for other players to put you in orbit.

Power Wings

This powerup grafts a set of wings to your back, letting you fly around the arena. Flying is no piece of cake though, if you don't keep flapping your wings, you fall. Flapping replaces jumping while you're carrying this powerup.

Repulsion

"What are you trying to tell me?.. That I can dodge bullets" When you have this, you don't have to! Bullets and other projectiles will actually dodge YOU. It doesn't gaurantee you won't be hit, but it sure helps.

Relocator

An updated version of the random teleporter, the Relocator is a two stage device that lets you specify where you want to teleport to.

Singularity

Shortly after dropping this little device, it will proceed to pull EVERYTHING in the surrounding area towards it with incredible force. A great way to clog a hallway or make a hazard twice as hazardous.
