Fallout Tactics Character Mod

This is a great character mod for the kick butt strategy game of Fallout Tactics. This will let you change out your characters for new ones to play with. See more info for details and installation.

Unzip the .chr files into your core/user/char folder located in your Fallout Tactics directory.

For the neat freaks, make a separate folder on your desktop named "char" and move all the demo characters into it. Whenever you want to play OSFTP, just switch the char folder already in your Fallout Tactics directory with the one on your desktop.

Rules of Play:

-When creating a room, be sure to put Old Sk00l Fallout Tactics Package Needed somewhere in the description:

Example: Come play old school!

OSFTP Needed to join.

-Set the map to anything you want. Assault is especially fun.

-Point limit should be set to 5k. Each original character is roughly 500-1100, so teams will rarely go over the low limit. If you want to play smaller teams and avoid rockets and mines, use 2k or 1k.

-Set any of the other game statistics to whatever you want!

Included in the zip file are new characters themed around the old demo characters. These include:

1 new Pilot - specialized in driving vehicles, but can also repair things if needed. She packs surprise heat

2 new Rocketeers - rocketeers carry a low number of rockets, so each one must count.

1 new Dog - used for sniffing out the opposition, and carrying extra ammo/stims. Be careful, your opponent can find dogs useful to!

During Beta Testing:

-Rocketeers were found to be too powerful, so one was taken out completely and the rest now only carry one rocket.

-The ammo bug made all characters have less ammo. Now they carry the proper amount but you still have to reload everyone before the game starts.

CHARACTER BREAKUP:

Tempest, Flak, Strom: Use MP5 H&K with a beretta for backup

Hoik, MrExplodey, Thumper: Use frag grenades with a colt for backup

Creep, Lurker, Blinkdog: Use ripper blades with beretta for backup

Stumpy, Hazard, Sherlock: Use T45LE Mines with beretta shotgun for backup

Pinpoint, Overlord, Snapshot: Use hunting rifle with beretta as backup

Stitch, Dr. Love, Sawbones: Have beretta shotguns as well as 2 med kits and 6 stimpaks

Daisy: Drives vehicles, repairs vehicles, and carrys a grenade launcher

Packrat: Dog who carries extra ammo for all guns used in demo. Not a good fighter

Mutey, Rocky: Use rocket launchers with a colt for backup
