The weapons selection spans the globe, with submachineguns, sniper rifles, machineguns, shotguns, pistols, and assault rifles from every corner of the planet. Included are weapons from the US, Canada, Great Britain, Russia, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Finland, Germany, Israel, Turkey, China, Taiwan, Japan, India, Egypt, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Yugoslavia, Austria, Australia, and South Africa. Plus, there are terrorist weapons from East Germany, Iran, Iraq, and Luxembourg.


Over 264 weapons broken up in geographic groups -- USA/Canada, South/Central America, Asia, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Germany, the Middle East, Africa, and Russia/USSR.


New and distinctive models for all the weapons presented, totaling over 280.

Large caliber sniping rounds like the 7.92 Mauser and the 7mm Remington Magnum.
Pistol rounds like the 9mm Short and .38 special.
Local variations like the Japanese 7.62x51mm round, the French 5.56x45mm round, or the American 5.56x45mm M193 round.
Armor Piercing variants of the 7.92mm Mauser, the 7.62x51mm NATO, 7.62x39mm Soviet, 7.62x54mm Russian, and 5.56x45mm round.

You will find nearly 200 new sounds. Most of them derived from actual recordings of weapons in action on the range. These sounds accurately model variations in muzzle velocity, rate of fire, and ammunition. For example, subsonic ammo doesn't sound the same as full-power ammo fired through a suppressor, and suppressed rifle rounds are not as quiet as suppressed pistol rounds.

Revamped rating system which takes into account variations like:
country of origin -- because of variations in quality control, a weapon produced in the US will outperform an identical weapon produced in South America.
muzzle attachments -- flash-hiders, muzzle brakes, and other attachments impact how much recoil is reduced, and the size of the muzzle flash.
bolt configuration -- weapons firing from a closed bolt are more accurate and recoil less than those firing from an open bolt, for instance.
accessories -- foregrips and special recoil reducing features make weapons more controllable.
method of operation -- blowback weapons recoil more than those with a delayed blowback system (as in the HK rifles), or gas operatied weapons.
type of ammunition used -- rifle ammunition is more accurate than pistol rounds, and match-grade ammo is even more accurate, for example.
