Fightclub is a quake 3 launching/configuration and benchmarking tool.

The following issues are known to exist with the current version of Fightclub:

- The Help file/Manual is incomplete and some parts are out of date. This will not be updated until Fightclub is finished. There is still more than enough there to get you started though.

- I've tested every setting on MY OWN PCs, but with all the various combinations of hardware, OS, and software that exist, there are bound to be some things that don't work. Please let me know if you find anything.

- If you bind enough aliases to make the cfg file sufficiently large, Quake 3 will produce an error and not execute ANY of the config. You should unbind some aliases and try again.

- Extracting of player model preview pictures takes as much as five seconds for each picture. This makes the intial scan for Player models very slow.

Changes since version 0.2.46
-------------------------------

The most important difference is the handling of custom maps and custom models. On the 'Maps' tab and the 'Player' tab, there are now buttons called 'Scan' which will automatically search your Quake 3 folders for custom data. You can't, and shouldn't need to, add custom maps or models manually.

The first time you run this version of Fightclub, it will scan for the standard Quake 3 model previews, and the standard Quake 3 map previews. These take a couple of minutes to extract.

This version supports all the new options in the Quake 3 point release, except for IP filtering. This will be implemented in the next Fightclub release.

The full list of changes in this version:

- added splash screen to make startup prettier
- made proportions of rotation vs available windows in maps
tab changeable by dragging the divider
- rewrote player models/skin selection to allow custom stuff,
model previews, & auto scanning for new models
- fixed a bug where european users had a comma in the settings
- for the sound & music volume, which q3 couldn't understand.

- made masses of changes to the map/preview extraction code
- fixed client and rcon passwords not set when starting a server
- added version check and update if necessary
- added default fcc dir (network share aware) for more flexibility
- Fixed various up/down buttons not connected right
- Changed crosshair size buttons to allow -1
- Added cg_drawicons (point release)
- Added g_teamAutoJoin (point release)
- Added g_teamforcebalance (point release)
- Added g_dowarmup (point release)
- Added 'Special Command Line' option for weird requirements
- Added backup of original quake3.cfg on first run.
- Added map preview window (w00p!)

Installation
-------------------------------
To install Fightclub, run the setup.exe that is in the zip file. You may have to reboot your computer before the installation can take place. If so, you will have to restart setup manually.

The first time you run Fightclub, you will be asked to find the quake3.exe program on your hard disk. This must be done correctly. If not, it is unlikely that Fightclub will work very well!
