[Installation]
To install this skin mod, extract all files from SwedishM90.zip into the root directory
of Rogue Spear. The root directory is normally located at the following path, given you
didn't specify else during the installation of Rogue Spear:
C:\Program Files\Red Storm Entertainment\Rogue Spear
Extract the files to that directory above. The files will be unzipped into the right
subdirectories.
[Multiplayer use]
The skin is ready to use in multiplayer games. When you have started a game, select the
blue or gold uniform menu. The new skin will appear at the bottom of the list.
It's called "Uniform 90". All players MUST have this mod installed for the skins to work.
[Singleplayer use]
If you want to use the skin in the original missions, you first have to modify the files
"uniforms.itm" and "models.itm" in the "..\Rogue Spear\Data\kit\" directory. You'll have
to swap place with another uniform available in the mission, as shown in the example below:
1. Back-up the files "uniforms.itm" and "models.itm".
2. Open "uniforms.itm" in a texteditor.
3. Cut the row with the uniform you want to replace, for example:
"UNIFORM_2" "un_woodmed.txt" "wood_med.bmp" "medium_wood.eq"
4. Paste the row at the end of the file.
5. Cut the row wich contains:
"Swedish M90" "un_swe_m90.txt" "swe_m90.bmp" "swe_m90.eq"
6. Paste it in the location where you extracted the first row.
(in this example after "UNIFORM_1")
7. Do the same swapping in "models.itm". It's important to count the rows, if you replaced
the second listed uniform in "uniforms.itm", you must place the row:
"Swe_m90" 3 "wood1_M_a" "wood1_M_b" "wood1_M_c" //Swedish uniform M90
as model number two in "models.itm", otherwise you get a mismatch which mess up your uniform
selection.
[Uninstall]
Replace the files:
"\data\kit\models.itm"
"\data\kit\uniforms.itm"
with the original files from your Rogue Spear CD
DONE!
(Optional)
Remove the files:
"\data\bitmap\swe_m90.rsb"
"\data\kit\swe_m90.eq"
"\data\text\kit\english\un_swe_m90.txt"
and the whole subdirectory "\data\character\swe_m90"
