After escaping the Vortex Ship and then exploring the Temple of Nali God, you’ve found a small Nali village in the heart of the Shamutanti Mountains. You’ve decided to take some rest in the tavern but, as you were sleeping, you heard some screams coming from outside…

Well, firstly, I apologize for the lack of informations : I hope this file content you.

Dealing with the Pack, here are the info :

*THIS IS THE FINAL VERSION OF SHAMUQUEST PART 1 : THE OLDER VERSIONS SHOULD BE REPLACED BY THIS UPDATED AND DEBUGGED VERSION. SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION…

*ORDER OF PLAYING THE SHAMU MAPPACK :

- the first map is named « Svalley2.unr ». Then the second ( Sancient1.unr) and the third ( Svalley1.unr) are linked.

*The PLOT : after escaping the Vortex Ship and then exploring the Temple of Nali God, you’ve found a small Nali village in the heart of the Shamutanti Mountains. You’ve decided to take some rest in the tavern but, as you were sleeping, you heard some screams coming from outside…

*The QUEST : you’ve got to help the Nalis to recuperate the Crown of NaliKings that the Skaarjs and their leader have stolen, with the help of the Evil Naligods ( such as Soquatre).

*The MAPPACK : this quest consists in 4 Mappacks of 3 very huge maps each ( you may need more than 1 ½ hour to explore each map). I’ve finished the first two ones and I’m checking the second one these next weeks.

*The IDEAS :

- I wanted to build an adventure/action quest : just be careful to the Translator messages : they are important to navigate through the quest. You’ve got to use the bonuses with intelligence and wisdom ( I’m thinking particurlarly about the Invisibility and the Flashlights) : sometimes, you’ll need to use them dramatically.

- I wanted to give to the SP the intensity and the thrill of the Botmatch or Multiplay Match. I used the pathnoding to make the Skaarjs very challenging and tough ( you’ll see). But it’s not impossible for a good Unreal player to defeat them. I used the Creature Factories functions : so that each time you play a map, It will be different . ( By the way, you may get a message error because of a badly placed Pathnode in one place of the Sancient1.unr : if you get this message, just go to UnrealEd, delete or move the pathnode that causes trouble).

*The SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS : on my PII 400, 128 M Ram and TNT 2, the SHAMU PACK runs really good and rocks ! The FPS may slowdown a little in a few areas ( such as the Cathedral in the Sancient1.unr) but only at « first glance » : then, you it’ll rock again. PLAY THE SHAMU PACK IN D3D if you have a TNT/TNT2 : it’s very slow in OpenGL mode.

*TIPS :

- you can use the ladders and the Skaarjs too( like in Quake 2) ;

- in the Village of Nali, you’ve got to find a way to activate the lifts to go to the temple of Soquatre ( the big temple when you look down from the village).

- In the temple ( level 2), you’ve got to find your way and not to die in the traps of Soquatre. There’s a lot of battle out there, and you’ll find some of your companions died in a Skaarj ambush…

- In the third level, you’ve got to find one of the 3 Arch Priets of NaliGod, listen to what he says ( you’ll need it in the Shamu Mappack 2 and 3… so just look for him) and proceed to the mines which lead to the Black Swamp ( Shamu Mappack 2). The mine access is difficult to find and you’ll need to find an alternative route to reach the mine access…You’ll see !

- JUST SAVE WHEN YOU’LL REACH THE MINE ACCESS : YOU’LL BE ABLE TO START FROM THERE WHEN YOU GET THE SHAMUQUEST PART 2 !
