Description: Bane's UT Mutator Pack

The BaneMutators package contains a number of different Mutators for Unreal Tournament. This version (0.9) is based upon classes found in the UT demo v3.22, so it might not be compatible with the full UT version.

Installation

I've decided not to use the UMOD format for this package, as it's likely that this would cause problems when the full version of UT is released. So, in order to use the new Mutators, you'll need to manually copy BaneMutators.u and BaneMutators.int into your UT/System folder.

Contents

This version of the package only contains two different Mutators, although it's very likely that additional ones will be added in the future:

Bounty Hunt. This Mutator will affect scoring and damage potential. Whenever someone enters a "spree", his/her damage potential increases according to the following table:

Spree Level Damage
None 100%
Killing Spree 125%
Rampage 150%
Dominating 175%
Unstoppable 200%
Godlike 250%

However, anyone killing a player that's entered a spree will receive a "bounty", i.e. extra score points. For each spree level, the killer will be rewarded with one extra point - for instance, killing someone who's "Dominating" would yield 4 points.

Movement Mutator. This Mutator will modify the movement speed of all players and bots. Note that this is not the same as modifying the Game Speed, as the latter would affect everything, including firing rates, animations, projectile speeds and so forth. The default speed used by this Mutator is 80%, but you may change this by using a new Advanced Options property. To do this, enter Options/Advanced Options - you'll notice a new property called "Bane Mutators". Unfold this header as well as the "Movement Mutator" contained within it. You'll then be able to modify the "Speed" property - 1.0 would equal 100% speed, 0.75 would mean 75% speed and so forth. Don't overdo things, though :)

Final Notes

As always, I don't mind receiving feedback and/or questions regarding my mods. If you wish to contact me, feel free to do so at bane@unrealized.com.
