Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Deadly Spell Impacts Mod v1.5

"Fire, lightning, and frost spell impacts with their own unique textures. I didn't want to stray too far from the vanilla textures but at the same time wanted to add my own touch."

-Greater variation in impact size within each spell.*

-Lightning impacts get their own texture.*

-Increased dragon impact decals size.*

-Increased glow map brightness so you can kinda see the embers in the dark.

To Install:

Extract "Data" folder from 7zip file and place in [...]\steamapps\common\skyrim folder. Make sure you have bEnableFileSelection=1 in SkyrimPrefs.ini under [Launcher]. Make sure DeadlySpellImpacts.esp and Load Loose Files is checked in Data Files in the Skyrim launcher. If you don't see DeadlySpellImpacts.esp there, go into C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Skyrim, open up plugins.txt and add DeadlySpellImpacts.esp under Skyrim.esm. If you are still having problems, use a mod manager to install and make sure DeadlySpellImpacts.esp is checked there as well.

To Update:

Extract "Data" folder from 7zip file and place in [...]\steamapps\common\skyrim folder and overwrite everything.

To Uninstall:

Delete impactdecals folder in data\textures folder and DeadlySpellImpacts.esp in the data folder. Make sure there are no lightning impacts present in your latest save when you uninstall.

Troubleshooting:

>If your lightning impacts look the same as fire impacts then follow the install instructions above to get your DeadlySpellImpacts.esp activated.

>If your lightning impacts are purple squares then make sure Load Loose Files is checked in Data Files in the Skyrim Launcher. Make sure DeadlySpellImpacts.esp is the only magic impact esp file installed and check to see that the impactdecals folder is in the data\textures folder.

>If you aren't seeing any impacts go to Options in the Skyrim launcher, click advanced and increase your decal quantity.
